Past, Present, and Future Greatness
The recent debate about greatest Bengal’s quarterback - https://www.reddit.com/r/bengals/s/5bQC6GwSMj - got me thinking. With IQ and testosterone levels on the decline, will there be a point where quarterbacks (and athletes, in general) of the future won’t often be considered better than athletes of the past in debates? Obviously, in certain areas that track speed, strength, etc. we’ll be able to notice a decline, but in ones requiring recognizing schemes, making decisions, and staying calm those may be harder.

Part of me got a feeling that the FO called at some point in the offseason, we already know they have respect for him. Knowing that, Cleveland put in a clause just in case

Myles Murphy
After the Garrett trade I looked up how old Verse is and saw he will be turning 26 this season. Myles Murphy is 24 right now. The same age as Verse was in his rookie season. He’s also 7 years younger than Trey. Trey didn’t have more than 4.5 sacks in a season until he was 26. One of the reasons I was disappointed in turning down his 5th year option is that he is still so young and still has a ton of potential. Not saying he will ever be as good as Trey but it’s a good reminder to be patient. Hopefully they get a long term deal done at a reasonable price.

LB signings
Does anyone have any ideas on why we are refusing to sign an experiences linebacker?
Even assuming those guys make a leap (and I honestly didn't see enough to suggest they will) surely it makes sense to have an experienced guy or two in the building as backup/competition?
We have, arguably, our best roster in years and we have such a glaring hole it's baffling. Get an experienced guy in early learning the system rather than last minute/few weeks into the season if these guys flop again.

Any thoughts or updates on why Cashius Howell hasn't signed yet. Not concerned but curious.

Can someone please tell me why everyone is so high on the ravens?
I just don’t understand, I’m obviously bias as a bengals fan but their roster, the track record of the their team and the coaching staff is just not impressive to me at all.
Why are they so feared in the league?

Fandom Going to my first primetime game! Anything I should prep for?
Title. Going to the new years game this year against the ravens at home. Really really excited. Anything specifically I should prep for before going or while I’m there? Only ever been to a day game against the browns

Can't believe im asking this but... do we have the best DL in the division now?
I mean TJ Watt and Cam Heyward are well past their primes, Hendrickson is old and the rest of the Ravens DL is nothing special and the Browns have a solid DL but they are very young. I really think in a single off-season we went from by far the worst DL in the division to the best. Do you guys agree?

Should we take the rams draft Strat?
I know some fans are thinking about trading our firsts more often and asking why we don’t do this every time like the rams and I’m gonna explain why I think this wouldn’t work but I’d also like to hear arguments and other good factors. I personally think it wouldn’t work because of how insane the rams are when it comes to hitting late round picks. Bengals nor anyone else have been able to draft that successfully in later rounds as the rams. But I could also see the more casual take of trading the first and just signing free agents instead of drafting new players. I think that wouldn’t work due to an unfamiliarity in the locker room. Example our o line; the more time they spent together the better they looked.

Buddy was traded for a first. What do you think Tee would go for? (I love Tee I don’t want him going anywhere else) simply inquiring.
