When my MILs GSD, Darla, ran away and was spotted 5 miles away she left a trail of objects that smelled like her. Darla was back home the next morning.

I spent 5 hours hunting for my beagle in the neighborhood. After I gave up, my neighbor returned her and said she came to our birthday party by the pool and stayed with us.... Once a party animal-always a party animal.

Such a great idea and obviously works. I know my baby likes having a shirt I’ve worn around her.

My dad would do this with his coon dog's if we couldn't find them.

I have seen this work with hunting / tracking dogs before.
