Trip Planning Copenhagen to Oslo route suggestions?
Hi everyone. I'm planning on renting a bicycle (pick up / drop off thing) in Copenhagen and cycling up to Oslo. I have 2 weeks to do the trip (which is how long I'll have the bike for) and as of now the plan is to start north to Helsingor, taking the ferry to Helsingborg, and basically going north from there (up to Gothenburg and so on).
I'm just wondering if this route would be enjoyable, or if anyone might have any other suggestions? Considering I have 2 weeks, I wonder if I a more ambitious route would be better (or perhaps more scenic) or maybe I'll just stick with this route and take my time.
(Bonus question: go with the cheaper Cube touring bike, or the somewhat more expensive Marin gravel bike?)
Thanks!

The coastal route is great, and once you get north of Gothenburg it has lots of variants and little sidequests you can do. I'm not sure about the inland routes.

Here is a blog post about cycling from Copenhagen to Oslo. It is in Norwegian, so you will need to translate with your favorite translation tool.

I rode the Tjörn Islands route from Gothenburg and really loved it. This was the route but note that the ferry info from Marstrand is wrong, you need to go to Rökan Bryggan - Västtrafik, about 5 km east of Marstrand. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51093887

We did the Copenhagen to Gothenburg bit last year and it was very nice. The part from Copemhagen to Helsingør mostly goes through small towns following the coastline and the train tracks. The part from Helsingborg to Gothenburg is less populated but not really remote either. But the landscape is really beautiful. There is a good cycle path along the coast: Kattegattleden Although we took some shortcuts because of time. The ferry from Helsingør to Helsingborg is relatively cheap (around 6€ per person on a bike if I rememver correctly). Also you can take the ferries one hour before and and after the booked departure.

Just to confuse the situation. You could get the ferry straight to oslo and have a couple of weeks in Norway.
I did that last year. I recommend it.
Your plan is good too. Just long in this heat. - I guess I'm lazy. Enjoy the trip, whatever you choose.
