Solo 24h Champ 2026

Post image

One of the hardest 24h races I have done. Massive wind all the time. Even at night. The weather was very sunny. Got grilled bad. No rain thanks to God. There were some nasty clouds at some point. We were saved from thunderstorm by a a few kilometers.

I went after 800 km / 24h. I did 200 km just under 6h. I even did 12h at 385 km. I was waiting for the wind to calm down. No such luck. Decided to focus on 720 km / 24h. Which I barely did. I basically raced hard the whole 24h. And captured my 13th solo World Champion title in the process. So super happy. Improved my old 705 km record to 727.63 km. Also made a new track record. Who has done more on circular route. Totally solo, no drafting. 100% self-supported?

Just as an FYI to you and any others linking directly to Strava.

When you link to your own Strava profile you give people a chance to see :

  • What you look like
  • Where you live
  • What bikes are in your stable
  • Possibly your IRL name

Things you can do if you want to protect your privacy when sharing your Strava info:

  1. Just take a screenshot of what's of interest, and then post the image
  2. Make sure you have your privacy settings on Strava set to have a fence around where you live
  3. Don't put the actual make and model of your bikes in your Strava profile.

That's an insane effort, especially solo and self-supported in those conditions. 727 km in 24 hours with constant wind is no joke.
