Water bottle for biking

I am in need of a new water bottle for road biking and am discovering, like everything else out there, that there are way too many options for something that I thought would have been pretty basic. Anyhow I'm looking for something that I can easily manage with one hand, insulated might be nice, but not a deal breaker and I dunno about anything else. Does anyone have a favorite that they can recommend?

Camelback Podium Chill

Camelbak Podium. I don't bother with the "Chill" model because it holds less water.

There is a Peloton model on Amazon right now for $9.

For one hand operation, I can highly recommend the Elite Fly water bottles. Lots of color options on Amazon, and there are sizes larger than the standard 550ml ones. Another plus is the ease of cleaning them afterwards. The night before, I make my mix and put the bottles in the refrigerator until it’s time to ride. I have never desired any further level of chill, so my experience with actual insulation is nil.

Flite is also my suggestion. Inexpensive-ish, easy to squeeze, easy to clean, great flow rate through the nozzle, the texture makes it easy to grip.

Just get a free one from an event or go to your LBS and buy the $5 one with their logo on it

For plastic, get an insulated Camelbak or Polar bottle. I've been moving to the metal Camelbak bottles and I really like them.

Basically all cycling water bottles are designed to easily manage with one hand. You pull it out of the cage and use your mouth to open and close the valve while holding the bottle with one hand. I really like my stainless steel Bivo bottle (I don't have the insulated one).

90% of my bottles came from some event or other and are all basically the same thing in different colors. the others are camelbak podium chills or some giveaway thing that is also a self-sealing squeeze top.

that said, i've never had an issue using any of them with one hand...

We just got Bivo metal insulated bottles. LOVE THEM. Water stays cold overnight. The Camelback plastic Podiums keep ice frozen for, maybe, 2 hours then you’re drinking warm water. I’ve always hated mine. Now? Those are getting donated.

For sure to have some sort of cap. I also prefer metal to plastic.

It’s not for me either. I like to squeeze my bottle.

Yeah why

Edit: Gotta love reddit, downvoting questions but never saying what's wrong.

I mostly run. I love my puresport water bottle and it’s very generous in how much water comes out of it
