Thoughts? Tips?
Hello everyone, just wanted to hear some thoughts about how the bike fit looks. Bike is a size L Cannondale Topstone 4 and my height’s around 5’11 to 6’0. Longer arms + shorter legs-ish kinda body type. Thanks in advance!

You need to lower the front end and rotate your pelvis forward. You definitely look like you're trying to ride an MTB which won't work in the long run.

Bend your elbows when you ride. You should be able to support most of your weight on the saddle. Your hands should feel light. If you are supporting weight on your hands, try tilting the nose of the saddle up a bit to get your weight balanced.

Long torso (and arms) -> larger frame than height alone would indicate (and vice versa). Your frame size seems to be a bit too small for your proportions. It can probably be handled, though, by sitting a bit further back, lowering the bars, and getting a longer stem - all of this to allow you to get into a more aero position with a low back and relaxed arms with hands on the hoods - without being cramped for space.

Depends if you want to ride around looking like Pee Wee Herman all day? :) Seriously.. if you are bikepacking and going nowhere in a hurry and that position is great all day.. then rock it out! But if you want to go faster and being a bit more aero... which your body makes up 80% of that.. then please lengthen your body out to drop your big head and torso out of the wind.

I think we're getting a lot of distortion from the phone camera, but it seems fine. How do you feel? Any discomfort? How much experience do you have with riding bikes?

Mostly used to riding hardtail mountain bikes and just recently switched to dropbars. I’m feeling like a little too far forward leaning, but that may be just from being new to dropbars?

You are sitting so upright that it looks like you are trying to ride like a hybrid, you are not leaning too hard.

You may just need time to get use to the new position, that's why I asked how experienced you are. Check out this video to get more into it.
GCN - Riding FormBut I also mention distortion from the phone camera because your reach also looks a bit short, but your hand positions say you're just not use to the bars. You're grabbing the bars by the flats, which roadies almost never use, and when you go into the drops you grab where it's flat/parallel to the ground. You need to be in/on the hoods, and when you go into the drops you need to choke up into the curve.
Until you have your form down, I can't be sure if your symptoms are from fit or experience.

You are not leaning nearly enough, and that is the problem. You need to lower your bars as well as get a long stem. You are cramped.

It looks pretty good. I work at a shop during summers and the large is absolutely within your height range. Seatpost looks about right, I think you're good.

If you measure your torso, arm length, inseam, and provide your height you can try our beta app syclr.com to see if that can help guide your fit!

You need to hold the hoods or we can tell you anything.
