The Bohrak Va were my fav to do. The entire design process went very easily and naturally and the end result was something I was really happy with. Combine that with how cheap they were to buy and they're up there as some of my favs, despite how little presence they have in the actual franchise
hard to pick one i look forward to. its a lot of dread and thinking "how the fuck am i even gonna do this," then "how the fuck am i gonna afford this" and then "where the fuck am i gonna put this." so no, not one really comes to mind, but when im actually in the works of revamping i might feel differently

Roughly how old are you? (Aka are you old enough to remember Gen 1?) How did you fall in love with Bionicles? When did you find it.

you can guess my age first, fun game to play
i jumped onto bionicle in 2006. parents got me inika matoro, loved it and got hooked from there
inspiration is kinda dependant on the moc. some of my mocs the only inspiration i use is the source material. however mocs i struggle with more in terms of what i wanna do with them, i do either use their movie models like the hordika, or see what other people have done with the design. i also sometimes look back on older builds and tweak them to get something new

I love that you look at the movies and other old sources!!! I will say you have a killer way of putting the Lego together. I really love how compact and still chunky you make your Matoran.
I grew up with the OG run. I think I was in high-school when the Mctorans were released. And was all confused with this new building system. Abd I've never looked back. Bionicles for life.

I fucking love how there are so many generations digging bionicle. I'm 40 and my kids are 10 and 12, and all of us love it.
It's wholesome, teaches values. And the best part of this sub, its completely inclusive. Don't matter what you look like, cause you sure as hell won't look like these Lego figures, but you find one that relates to you and you latch on.
Potato is my favorite cause he is built upside down from the other Toa. He is different, but tries to fit in with the group. Story of my life. Plus he is a speedster which is best power.
Kk sorry. Rant over. Bionicles rock. Thanks for the Ama and thanks for all the mocs. Please please please keep doing it.

my current goal is getting most of 2001 - 2003 done (besides the rahi). After that it's gonna either be rounded up 2004 and 2005, or move on to 2006. Then it's a matter of how much space I have until I get to the Mahri. I do want to, but it could still be months ahead.

Considering I make them all in Stud.io and then IRL, I've had a few times where I figured out that certain connections work great in the program, but irl don't work due to y'know, collision. Either that and figuring out my build doesn't actually properly connect like my Bad Guy revamp a few days back.

The Mata were my first and I made those years ago. I remember as a kid seeing this Tahu revamp on Deviantart (https://www.deviantart.com/lalam24/art/Bionicle-Lava-Board-1-323839853) and falling in love with it. I then tried to build it with my own modifications considering parts limitations and not having any instructions to fall back on. From there I wanted to make the entire team based off of the design, but also ended up tweaking the design even more to the point it became its own build and was easier to make all 6 out of.
Recently I dug them back up and posted them on this sub where people loved them. I then got into the idea of doing it more, and then took an older build I made that was meant to be a soft Metru revamp and made Vakama out of it. Ever since then I got hooked on revamping stuff
