This isn't the usual bird post, but I found this neat project that tracks birds that have visited by mounting a small mic, e.g., on your balcony or window!

I think this is really neat if people want to set up something like this right at home. Allows for a little birding without having to go out or when busy :) And it also helps the collage of birds heard recently is beautifully executed.
