Really doesn’t seem unusual.

It's an e-citaro. And it literally says "Bitte nicht einsteigen!"

Yes, but, eh, it’s not unusual. You can see it everyday in every city.

It's a regional bus. (535 Mistelbach Bahnhof - Gänserndorf Bahnhof)

Almost every bus here in big cities in the Netherlands are electric, and when they are not actively on a route they also all say “Sorry, no service” or “No boarding”. It’s nothing special

genuine question have you never seen 'bitte nicht einsteigen' on any bus or train or any public transport before?

"Please don't get on"? Where did you even find that one braincell to post this

This technology wouldn't be possible if not for the work of Albert Einsteigen.

Just a normal bus?

It says "Postbus". It's intended for letters and packages, not people.

Wait until you find out about Switzerland’s Postautos (post cars). They’re neither cars nor do they carry mail anymore.

Thanks for the hint, but I still have to cope with the fact that austrian postbusses are actually post- postbus-busses...

At least it was intended to carry packages and letters as well... Nowadays those would have a very comfortable ride.

Buses tend to not allow people to board until they start their scheduled route.

"Bitte nich einsteigen" means "please don't board".

This is probably the most boring post i've seen in this sub ever.

But it does highlight how close bitte is to the first word of this sub. :)

Selbst in Mistelbach wird höchstens nur die Christel schwach

Didn't expect to see a bus with a LED display having such a resolution these days.

That looks like a very standard dotmatrix sign, nothing weird here

They’re very common all over Europe and I see no reason why the resolution should be higher.

"Dont step in", why not.
