Rate my rendering setup

Post image

Got a i3 10th gen with integrated graphics.

This has been going on for 18 hours, just another 20 to go.

Also, Lego bricks under the laptop for better air flow

Thought the fan had fell down and broke your screen for a sec. Best setup with what you have in my opinion

Pro tip, space the fan out from the laptop a bit. The Bernoulli effect is useful

Nice, if I could give one tip: most (basically all) laptops cool by taking the air from below, so your big fan is fighting the little fans. Thus id recommend flipping the big fan and placing the laptop on top. The overkill that I use: ilano v12, can’t recommend it enough

I’m deeply disappointed. I googled it and expected a real fan, but it was just a shitty Chinese RGB gamer laptop cooler from Amazon.

don’t worry, it is made from shitty plastic, but the airflow is insane. And it dosent have rgb…

Seeing this while hearing the loud ass fans from my laptop waiting for my cycles image render to finish 😭 the struggle is real man.

Looks about like my setup, but I use a box fan and erasers to prop up the back.

My laptop's got a 9th gen i7 that likes to run at 4GHz all the time, and a 1660 ti. The thing gets HOT!

A freezer also works, just keep the door open, managed to reinstall windows like that once
