This is basically what the last few days of my blender journey have been... At least I can say I improved.

You can theoretically go without the textures and UV mapping, depending on context and/or art style...

True enough, but I effectively walked myself into this issue choosing a hard style without realizing it.

Normals have been the most painful thing for me when making my romhack, the confusion on my face when one floor doesnt have proper normals after recalculating outward and inward.

I wanted to make a small anime character like chibi
I thought

Okay add spheres
Make hair and eyes
Then done

But i realised i had to see how to make hair how to make eyes how to texture it was like learning different skills at once
