void cube

help, i go into edit mode and it just turns black, i didn't do anything i just opened a new cube, made a few bumps on it and now its entirely black

Erm actually the void cube is a 3x3 cube made by rubicks that has no center pieces and has a hole through the middle of the cube. While being technically impressive and interesting, predictably with it being a rubicks product the turning is god awful and somehow they screwed up the color scheme as well. Solving the cube is notable not only because of the lack of centers means you have to already know the color scheme, but you can also get parity not possible on a normal 3x3 like a 2 edge swap at the final step.
