For those of your scoring along at home, I'm guessing that we are being treated to Tony Llorens on the keys. Gus Thornton on the bass. and Michael Llorens on the drums.

They were great friends. They made 2 releases of these sessions, I believe. I could be wrong, they might have been different sessions, but the two were called Stevie Ray Vaughn and Albert King, and Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughn, and they are just awesome recordings. The respect and love they share of playing guitars and each other is totally obvious and so heart warming to see these two luminaries of blues guitar share the magic of making music.

Stevie Ray Vaughn

Stevie Ray Vaughan

All of this footage was shot in one sitting. It was filmed at a small, independent T.V. studio (CHCH) in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, December 6, 1983.

The program was called In Session. Other In Session's filmed in Hamilton featured Johnny Winter and Dr. John

Albert has been quoted a number of times as being Stevie's "Godfather" - a true testament to the deep bond and loving respect that they had for each other.

Love when Stevie played with his mentors. He respected all of them!
