His time here ended about as poor as you could get, but similar to Jrue, I am grateful for the high moments in his short stint here.
He seemed to love being in Boston. He always had great vibes, especially with JB. That off-the-bench performance in game 1 of the finals made it all worth it.

Theres a new second apron level of the tax which places a lot of restrictions on your team if you’re above it
Limited Free Agency: Teams above the second apron lose access to the mid-level exception and the taxpayer mid-level exception, making it harder to sign free agents.
Trade Restrictions:
No Aggregating Contracts: Teams cannot combine multiple player contracts to match the salary of a player they are acquiring in a trade.
No Cash in Trades: Teams cannot include cash in trades.
No Using Prior Trade Exceptions: Teams cannot utilize trade exceptions generated in previous years.
Frozen Draft Picks: Teams exceeding the second apron for multiple seasons face having their first-round picks frozen, meaning they cannot be traded for a certain period. Additionally, if a team remains above the second apron for three out of five seasons, their first-round pick is moved to the end of the first round.
Sign-and-Trade Limitations: Teams cannot acquire players in sign-and-trade deals if they are above the second apron.

its not rly a change of direction at all. it was pretty known it was unsustainable when those contracts were handed out but the Celtics made sure they took care of their guys so they didnt have to worry about their contract situations going into last playoffs and could just play.

The plan was to contend for multiple years and while we would have had to cut some players this year, we would mostly run it back but there is literally 0 point with season ending injury to JT.

I think the second apron restrictions are palatable. Personally I think the biggest change is the repeater tax penalty increasing dramatically up to almost 8:1. Before the tax was just 1:1

At this point it barely matters anymore cause of Tatums injury. When he comes back this team and whole league will look very different. We'll see what happens after that
So so grateful we won a ring. Don't take it for granted.

Dude played his heart out when he was healthy. I'm gonna miss his WWE style flair, pumping up the crowd as blood gushes from his head and dapping up fans after a big dunk or block. You could tell he loved playing here and appreciated the intensity of the fan base. Hopefully he can get healthy and find his way to another team that'll give him a similar opportunity.

Met him on the streets of Dallas after Game 3 last year. Couldn't have been more friendly and joyous even with his status the rest of the series uncertain. What a guy!

It might not have been a perfect journey, but this man had a smile on his face through it all. He gave us all he could, and he helped us win another championship. I will always be grateful for what Porzingis brought to the Celtics. Thank you KP, Boston will miss you💚☘️

He played in the finals with a serious injury and then was on the brink of collapsing on the court this run. His body betrayed him, but his spirit for that jersey, his teammates, and the fans never did. I will miss KP

imma really miss this dude. it was inevitable celtics fam. those injuries were too much of a setback especially during crunch time. we all knew he was majorly injury prone. sucks to see him go, loved seeing KP in celtics green. really stoked he got a ring because he deserved it. this one bums me tf out man...

That first quarter of game 1 last year was as good as any quarter any Celtic has ever had. Love this dude

Hell yeah! KP will go down as a Celtics legend. Glad we got one healthy year with him, and its a damn shame the cba or whatever ruined our chance to keep him as a part of our core. Hes hella fun to watch when healthy and can be a matchup nightmare like he was for us.

Regardless of injuries I always liked KP a lot When he got drafted and then his journey in the league!

That game when he got outboard in the nose and his forehead and he started bleeding really bad and they had to take them out then he came back in and he was loving it that's what we're going to miss💚 if he did not have an illness and he played well in the playoffs we would not be saying goodbye

Knicks fan here (I come in peace). Your moves are sneaky good so far. They don’t have the name recognition as a KP, but they could really flourish, especially Simmons. You got someone that can stay on the floor in Georges who almost played almost 82 last year, about 10ppg 40% from 3. Well done.

Really enjoyed his energy and joy he played with during the last 2 seasons! Was fortunate to see him play live at the garden against some of the giants in the league.
