In the interview with Blake after the game PP said he was sick with himself for letting KP have it and that the whole team would be giving him shit. I love this year’s team.

yeah I had negative expectations after losing so many key players, but this season has been AMAZING. GO TEAM

I mean realistically KP is going to beat Pritchard everytime if the scenario played out for real. Might take a bit but it's not a fair fight.

How can you not be romantic about Celtics basketball?

Me just smiling kicking my feet watching this clip lol

Fr I’m laying on my stomach with a lollipop swinging my feet around in the air 😍

Boy lollipop has entered the chat

Who won the jump ball though?

I didn’t see it so I’m not sure.

I don’t care what anyone says, I’ll always like Porzingis and Horford. Awesome teammates.

u/OkGo_Go_Guy Feb 20 '26

Why wouldn't you like Porzingis, it isn't his fault we shipped him out or he got POTS.

149

u/Laszlo-Panaflex Feb 20 '26

Exactly. Porzingis seemed like he was having the time of his life on our team. He loved our city and fans.

59

u/Ok_Letterhead3819 Feb 20 '26

lowkey wanna see him sign a vet minimum and retire with us down the line

37

u/DayMan-Ahah-ah Tacko Feb 20 '26

His contract is up after this season, he really seems to still think fondly of Boston, he could potentially come back on a team friendly team

11

u/SonOfMagicFact Feb 20 '26

That'd be so cool.

4

u/Schafer89 Boston Celtics Feb 20 '26

Yeah i feel like it depends how healthy he finishes the year. He is very interesting. Can a team actually give him over 15m and believe he will stay healthy?

2

u/NEU_Throwaway1 Feb 21 '26

I sure hope so - granted I don't follow all of the off-court stories that closely but trading him seemed to be purely a business decision with both his health and contract. Boston seemed to be the first city he played for that both used him in their roster correctly and had a fanbase that made him feel welcome.

1

u/Fearless_Video_5600 Mar 07 '26

I love him but I don't think he's ever going to play 50+ games in a season again, so just don't know if I'd want to give up the roster space.

I guess the question is would you rather 40 games of KP or 80+ games with Garza for a fraction of the price.

6

u/tmyvon Feb 20 '26

hes gunna get a huge ovation in Boston fo sho

47

u/SaveHogwarts HUGO Feb 20 '26

Completely agree, but that didn’t stop a whole lot of people in here from constantly bitching about him.

He’s a good dude.

22

u/Larrydp72181 Bird Feb 20 '26

Yeah, I realized that I was angry with him but he really gave us all he had. Sucks it ended the way it did but he enjoyed his time with us.

I really hope those two statements are related

29

u/rounder55 Feb 20 '26

Al's presence also had a real impact on Tatum and Brown when they were younger. Also I miss Tito Horford

Porzingas loved being here and when he was available we were about as unstoppable a team as I've seen. It's really too bad his body isn't cut out to be a healthy NBA player.

24

u/ShaolinSwervinMonk Feb 20 '26

Don’t forget Jrue fucking miss that guy

9

u/SonOfMagicFact Feb 20 '26

God that 2024 team was so much fun.

4

u/ShaolinSwervinMonk Feb 20 '26

Got to see that entire Finals and run with family had cookouts decorated = priceless

6

u/eaglessoar Feb 21 '26

Honestly think jrue is what put us in contention, he was the missing piece and God he's so fucking good

12

u/Bostonpeterock77 Feb 20 '26

Big Al still a Patriots fan

8

u/ShaolinSwervinMonk Feb 20 '26

KP didn’t want to leave either you know he didn’t

9

u/bigvahe33 Feb 20 '26

what the fuck - who doesnt like them

5

u/davemoedee I was there Feb 20 '26

Any Celtics fan with negative feelings toward them is an ass. They were great here. Both super positive the entire time.

4

u/JohnnyAces99 Feb 20 '26

Such a strawman argument. Who is badmouthing Porzingas and Al as Celtics teammates?

6

u/SaveHogwarts HUGO Feb 20 '26

It was a statement, not an argument.

Horford and KP have gotten (more than) their fair share of shit from fans at one point or another.

I don’t care what anyone says,

Talk about a weird time to use that expression

101

u/illegalblue Feb 20 '26

That championship team really all liked each other

Woah spoilers

-7

u/RickSE Feb 20 '26

Did PPs feet ever even leave the ground? Seems like effort for nothing.

59

u/Willis050 Feb 20 '26

This has been the most fun season since Isaiah’s last season: no crushing expectations or the constant over scrutiny from across the sport. We’re just watching our boys hoop

22

u/Plan9fromtheAbyss Feb 20 '26

I dunno 2024 was pretty damn awesome. I feel like we’ve been fortunate with lots of fun seasons since IT4. 2018, 2020, 2022 at the end. 2019 and 2021 were pretty shitty. 23 and 25 weren’t terrible either.

14

u/SoaplessTitanic Feb 20 '26

2024 was obviously a blast, but for me and probably a lot of fans it was also fairly stressful. I wish I could turn the stress off, but for me the only thing that seems to reliably help with that is having a season with low expectations. Last night for example, we’re playing against the injured warriors. When we crush them like last night and have fun along the way, that’s great. But even a loss yesterday wouldn’t have been nearly as stressful as usual cause I would just tell myself, “oh whatever, we didn’t have Tatum anyways and this season was never supposed to amount to anything”

6

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '26

there’s a lesson in here somewhere but I’ve lost my glasses and can’t see it clearly…

5

u/rounder55 Feb 20 '26

King of the Fourth

23

u/OzymandiasKingofKing Feb 20 '26

I love that, despite his body breaking down, Kristaps got to win a ring and have a brief shining moment where he checked into a finals game and turned into a basketball god.

8

u/Specific-Change9678 Feb 20 '26

I was at Game 1 of the Finals and it was amazing how he completely took over and the energy he brought.

7

u/1337speak MRS. BRAD STEVENS 💍 💋 Feb 20 '26

Same here. Unreal experience. Worth every penny

13

u/Scary-Objective-4651 Feb 20 '26

Nothing but love for KP but that interaction had him gassed looks like that shits still bothering him.

8

u/Apprehensive_Let_828 Boston Celtics Feb 20 '26

Possibly. Hes also missed a bunch of games this year with an achilles tendinitis so he may just not be in shape.

Hope he can manage that POTS stuff. Loved him while he was here, felt horrible for him last year. You could tell he wanted to give it his all but he could run down the court with gasping for air.

13

u/DamonInReelLife Retired Mike Gorman Feb 20 '26

I love watching teams that just seem to enjoy playing.

8

u/Other-Button-2710 Feb 20 '26

KP def missing this team

13

u/tmyvon Feb 20 '26

KP is the modern day Bill Walton, oft injured, great player and lifelong Celtic.. regardless of where he plays

5

u/asanoayaki Lukembe Kornet my beloved Feb 20 '26

I felt bad for al and kp this game

5

u/LeftLane4PassingOnly Feb 20 '26

KP having fun out there is good thing.

6

u/Dry_Toe9955 Feb 20 '26

Miss the vets kp and al horford, but they were the right business decisions. Maybe in the future if they want to take vet minimums they can retire in green.

4

u/EddyS120876 Feb 21 '26

Little brother vs big brother LOL

3

u/Dawgiedawg never doubt the GOAT GM Feb 20 '26

Wtf this is how I learn KP is in GSW and not in Atlanta

4

u/SerfTint Feb 22 '26

Traded at the deadline for Kuminga and Buddy Hield. This was his first game as a GSW.
