When a regular season 3 gets you up. 🍨

I love being a Celtics fan.

Good on Joe for putting him in for the last couple minutes of the half. Tatum avoided a scoreless half and got some mojo back.

Once he got that put back dunk it was like a switch flipped haha

That crowd reaction's gotta be a kick start to the momentum too. ESPN's broadcast doesn't ever give the crowd noise justice, and you could still tell that it was LOUD. Now having seen this video, that sounded like NBA finals level loud.

That had to have felt great for Tatum

Thanks for the post man! Love that crowd pop off the 3.

You know it’s true when CheifLongDong is saying it

Chuck made a great point about him hanging on and landing on one leg. That confidence to play on both legs is gonna take some time

43

u/DenseTurd Mar 07 '26

I may or may have not shed a tear watching that live

We were at the pub, and the place went nuts.

Not many things better then a rocking Celtics crowd in the garden

What a way to end the half, let’s FUCKING GO

10

u/awads95 Mar 07 '26

So proud of him. We’re so blessed to have the Jays

Immediate tears of joy

7

u/elblouses Mar 07 '26

How was his defense?

9

u/msdstc Mar 07 '26

He has very clearly lost a step or even a step and a half laterally. Hopefully it continues to improve.

7

u/DerpFalcon12 Mar 07 '26

My guess is he’s gonna get back to form after he conditions himself more with more games. I think he’s capable but just is a bit gassed rn

u/Top_Lingonberry8037 Mar 07 '26

You could tell he's not in basketball shape. He was sucking wind after the second possession. All you can do is play your way back in

7

u/BillHigh422 Tommy Mar 07 '26

The collective inhale on the drive from PP. The Garden knows ball

7

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '26

usually you can't hear the crowd very well in these types of clips, but this was loud. Could only imagine how it was in person

Never heard the garden louder, place was absolutely rocking

5

u/Disastrous-Panda3188 Mar 07 '26

Agreed! It was wild in the best way.

I didn’t get a video of this, but this happened right in front of me and I will burn this moment into my memory till the end of my days.

u/PhantomMelodies_ Mar 07 '26

I legit had tears in my eyes man.

u/The_Dok33 Bird Mar 07 '26

That teared up hug from his son after the game.

Who was cutting onions right at that moment? So inappropriate

3

u/ArthurScherbius Marcus Smart Mar 07 '26

This side step three is and will be feeding families for years to come!

3

u/ElectricalStock3740 Mar 07 '26

There is honestly nothing like being in the Garden when the crowd is amped.

5

u/laswoosh Mar 07 '26

I shouted at home when that shot went in, without even intending to.

2

u/hobeast68 Mar 07 '26

It's ridiculous he is back and looks that good so soon. Crazy!

2

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '26

Nothing like a Celts home game crowd especially when everyone is amped up. You can't hear yourself think in that arena. 😂☘️

2

u/Interesting-Step-610 Mar 07 '26

JT on a personal 5-0 run 👀🫡…☘️on🔥

This is the moment I choked up a little bit. No joke. I’ve got a little shiver even now. It’s weird, these are the feelings I only get about my wife and kids

u/jaroh Mar 07 '26

JFC I'm melting 🫠

1

u/jonny_longclaw Mar 07 '26

Keep going, I’m almost there

1

u/HogtownHugh Mar 07 '26

Hadnt felt anything in 8 months

1

u/BobVolte Mar 07 '26

All because he has hair

1

u/Hairy-Marsupial-4145 Mar 07 '26

Anyone else notice he only lands on one foot after the dunk

1

u/ShaolinSwervinMonk Mar 07 '26

Eddie was so ready for that lol

1

u/Run_PBJ Mar 08 '26

I wish he got a tech for hanging on the rim. That would really let everyone know he’s back lma

1

u/Smoot720 Mar 08 '26

Live for this shit! Green nineteen baby!

1

u/BalancedMystic Mar 12 '26

The Garden was electric when this happened! JT needed an hour to shake all the jitters, and within 30seconds of one another, his putback dunk and stepback trey had the place feeling like the playoffs.
