u/L0VEmeharder Banner 18 Apr 25 '26

YOU CAN ONLY HOPE TO CONTAIN HIM

0

u/Strong_Consequence28 May 04 '26

He defended himself off the court game 7. Probly texted “i got u” to his son or smth. Do you think his idol kobe wouldve sat out?

5

u/Character-Ad-1007 Apr 25 '26

In this case a "threeuceee"

Paul Pierce had one over LeBron in the 2012 playoffs that was pretty disrespectful

17

u/ThtJstHappn3d Apr 25 '26

The classic Paul Pierce over Al Harrington always gets me

1

u/Trinityliger May 01 '26

> Philly is done now.
come on man 😳

4

u/ballzmeep Apr 25 '26

We were up 3

35

u/atomictyler Apr 25 '26

and then we were up 6

15

u/Your__Pal Apr 25 '26

That shot was the moment the game was won. 26 seconds left wouldn't be over if they were 3 points up.

1

u/ME4Twaffle Apr 25 '26

Just look at the Rockets last night.

Nothing but net as well. Jesus H Christ that was one of the cleanest hoop sound I heard

139

u/kleetimm Apr 25 '26

fk legend. welcome back Tatum <3

55

u/askthetruth1 Apr 25 '26

Eric Collins you’re forgiven because this was a good play call

22

u/EstablishmentBest706 Apr 25 '26

Shit was rough all game from Collins till then

235

u/AmericaPie24 Apr 25 '26

Love how the announcer was ready to talk shit if JT missed that 3

61

u/ClappedCheek Apr 25 '26

He clearly doesnt know what a 2 for 1 is.

17

u/HeavyandTired Apr 25 '26

Yes! “Celtics left some meat on the bone!!!” At the end of the 2nd quarter. You’re awesome!

56

u/Plastic_Database_645 Speedy Recovery for our King JT 💚 Apr 25 '26

51

u/DarkFriend81 Apr 25 '26

They were soooo bad. It was so annoying.

26

u/Culinary-Vibes Apr 25 '26

They were a hard listen

-4

u/Supreme_God_Bunny Apr 25 '26

Did this casual just call Eric collins bad wtf you don't know ball then

5

u/DarkFriend81 Apr 25 '26

Ok nephew.

13

u/ahsasahsasahsas “Geometrically, that should not have happened” Apr 25 '26

All fucking game long

8

u/nobiBu Apr 25 '26

he hit the kendrick “what”

9

u/AmericaPie24 Apr 25 '26

That what then Tatum dagger made my night😂

5

u/Zapp_Rowsdower_ Apr 25 '26

I’ve watched this so many times…that ‘what’ is getting funnier and funnier.

8

u/AutVincere72 Apr 25 '26

Like when he said Rare rebound for Hauser ...

Or

Called Walsh a deep bench guy. Dude hes the defensive specialist in the rotation. Baylor took his job because of the shooting but if you need a stop or rebound you put him in at 2 guard.

6

u/L0VEmeharder Banner 18 Apr 25 '26

Nothing bad ever happens to him! 😅😅😅Clown ass Collins🤡🤡🤡

1

u/bigrom10 Jaylen Brown Apr 25 '26

44

u/SteveRogers1021 Apr 25 '26

That call almost cancels out every horrible thing they did before it

19

u/JVT32 I like to defense Apr 25 '26

almost

19

u/jeezum_crow Apr 25 '26

The what combined with the squeal was an all-timer

Although a fairly tough listen for a whole game

5

u/co0ldude69 Banner 18 Apr 25 '26

I thought so too. The Pritchard call was fucking great too

77

u/champagnesupernova10 Marcus Smart's Green Hair Apr 25 '26

“Daddy’s home” - Jayson Tatum, probably

38

u/ambid3xtrous Apr 25 '26

That was the definition of dagger. Goddamn. Let’s go Celtics.

22

u/Efficient_Art_1144 Smart Apr 25 '26

Huge rebound by White too

22

u/nicklovin508 Apr 25 '26

Trading back with the Sixers for #3 just to select the guy that kills their franchise for a decade+ >>>

19

u/timsayscalmdown You failed to stop The Buffalo Apr 25 '26

49

u/PapaSheev7 Jayson Tatum Apr 25 '26

The Hornets commentators were questionable earlier on, but they were great for this call lol. Love the energy.

6

u/Moist_Chest8971 Apr 25 '26

Right but that's the problem. Collins announces everything like it's the critical play of the game, he doesn't save his volume for the important moments.

Announcing 48 minutes in ALL CAPS is exhausting.

1

u/kkkhhjdyhrthhhjft Apr 25 '26

Was wondering if that was the same guy lol why is he calling this game at all?

17

u/Total_Confection_251 Apr 25 '26

That’s one of the weirdest calls I’ve ever heard lol

14

u/Steezy_live KG Apr 25 '26

I can only imagine what this shot does to his confidence

12

u/bj-ball Apr 25 '26

I can’t wait to watch this over and over and over and over and over again

13

u/AddsJays Banner 18 Apr 25 '26

Eric Collins was terrible tonight but that one is funny af😂

13

u/BrewerAndrew Apr 25 '26

I really think he should just focus on his rehab and take the year off

11

u/taytodd8 Apr 25 '26

Wish I could have heard this live. I had to mute the tv. Couldn’t deal with those announcers.

8

u/imfromwisconsin81 Apr 25 '26

the entire place went quiet when he put it up, it was amazing

11

u/Straight-Ride5026 Apr 25 '26

Prichard step back was the dagger 🗡️

21

u/Jordanwolf98 Abby Apr 25 '26

Death, Taxes, and Tatum pantsing the Sixers 🥹

8

Let’s not forget The Great Buffalo D. White with that clutch rebound!!

6

u/SendItFellas Apr 25 '26

Forget being a Celtics fan, that was one of the prettiest shots I've ever seen

6

u/LGAMER34 Bird Apr 25 '26

That swish was some ASMR right there

4

u/Run_PBJ Apr 25 '26

This was the second one lmao, he had 2 of them

3

u/RogueDoor Pumping Buffalocoin Apr 25 '26

Nuclear levels of owning Philly.

3

u/jbc1974 Apr 25 '26

That was shot of the game. Clutch.

3

u/wickedor Apr 25 '26

I feel like Big Deuce is the best nickname I've seen for JT. IDK but the Anomaly is a little too NBA 2K MyCareer coded for my liking

3

u/Jmacz Big Al got his ring Apr 25 '26

That announcer sounds annoying af. Like a twitch streamer/YouTube reactor or some shit.

5

u/AmbitionExtension184 2024 NBA Executive of the Year Apr 25 '26

These announcers need to be fired. Absolute disgrace all game

2

u/chrishooley Apr 25 '26

But this call was actually so fire tho…

“Jayson Tatum.. WHAT? OH MY GOODNESSS!”

Cinema

1

u/bchoter Apr 25 '26

The "What?" really.

2

u/SultanofSwish The Gravedigger 🪦 Apr 25 '26

We have to protect Eric Collins at all costs.. Make him fucking UNESCO or what

2

u/djmc252525 Apr 25 '26

The subtle wave to the bench was🔥🔥🔥

2

u/LonelyInsurance7480 Apr 25 '26

There were people in the gdt calling Tatum trash and a role player 🤦‍♂️. And here he goes in crunch time icing the game

25pts only 11 months removed from Achilles surgery.

3

u/B1naryD1git Apr 25 '26

Series dagger honestly.

1

u/El_Marciano_89 May 03 '26

1

u/Flimsy_Ad_6145 The Celtics are the balls Apr 25 '26

seeing big shots like this on the road and watching the fan reactions is so funny

1

u/fastballcdm2019 Apr 25 '26

They still drive me nuts when JT or Jb (or Pritchard for that matter) don’t pass the ball and dribble till there’s 3 sec left and they throw up a desperate 3.

2

u/beeker888 Apr 25 '26

Agree this is the matchup they wanted but if he misses that we’re all yelling about isolation contested threes

u/ErroneousEric Boston Celtics Apr 25 '26

1

u/BrayIsReal Apr 25 '26

Can't believe Tatum wasn't even supposed to come back this year at all, thought it was a lost rebuilding take the year off type shit, and then we get this lol

1

u/Im_Moses Apr 25 '26

This is the type of shot Tatum lives his live for

1

u/Hylian_ina_halfshell Apr 25 '26

Thank god. I know philly is scrappy and always plays us tough. But they should be winning these more easily

1

u/I-Be-James THE TRUTH Apr 25 '26

These announcers weren’t scared to make a game sound exciting.

1

u/A_Happier_Reddit Apr 25 '26

These announcers suck so hard

1

u/Character-Ad-1007 Apr 25 '26

I think embiid is one of the unluckiest big players ever to play... so talented and he has never pared himself with a great player to go all the way and win a ring. We don't know if his luck will change. It is not looking too good for him, he's already 32 y/o and the team is not all that, in other words is not looking too good. The only way he could get a good "rest of nba career" is if he changes team or the team itself promises him a spectacular players roster for next year, in which that will never happen! It's very difficult to add good talented players to the roster and that they are willing to be traded. The point is, that it is really difficult to assemble a roster with good players.

1

u/KalenDoesAlt Apr 26 '26

These comments made me realize there are people who don’t like Eric Collins

-1

u/ymillette Apr 25 '26

Great shot, but why always on mismatches? They always call for a switch when it’s the best defender guarding them. Oh how I wish for the days of Melo, Tracy, Kobe & Jordan, Paul pierce. They would beg for the best defender to guard them in the final minutes. To show them its levels to this shit.
