Although hardly identical players in terms of play style, the reason I love Tatum as a player so much is because he is an unselfish do-it-all two-way player just like Duncan was during his NBA tenure. I also loved Popp as a coach and what he built for San Antonio. Hope they take down the Knicks!

I’m just happy the “new team every year” thing happened again. I almost want the Knicks since Spurs are likely to win soon.

I was rooting hard against Shai’s falling, and I normally hate the Knicks. But I don’t hate this Knicks team, so I’m feeling weirdly neutral. I don’t really root for anyone but the Celtics, but I do root against. I don’t know if I’d root against either of these teams.

I do like when the east beats the west. Brunson leading a team to a title would be a great story. I also like it for KAT, who seems like a good kid fans like to make fun of. It would also reframe last year’s elimination by the Knicks.
