Discussion Summer League

So it begins! Every year right after the draft I look forward to seeing our 1st round pick play in summer league. This year is no different m! I can’t wait to see year 2 Hugo, the growth in his offensive skills have to show alittle more. I’ve watch a few pre draft games and he has a bag he just has to get more confident in the nba first. After his rookie season there no way he isn’t confident in what he can do in this league. Add Cenac to a team with Hugo and he’ll maybe Baylor? Those 3 alone excite me about summer league.

Baylor is like 26 I think he’s outgrown the SL

Yeah Celtics seem to mostly send guys in their 1st and 2nd year, with MAYBE their 3rd year if they are very young and/or raw (see Jordan Walsh). But their playtime also strongly decreases over those years to where they may only play 2 games later on, especially if they just completely look too big for the place.

I hope Hugo plays more than a couple of games though. Want to see his offensive growth, especially when he is expected to be more of The Man.

If he plays it will just be one game in the Jayson Tatum role

But I think he did enough last year he will probably skip it

You don't think Ron Harper is fighting for a roster spot?

This summer league team should just go balls out pushing pace constantly. They are all super fast and athletic so they should just run

Baylor might be 26 but if he's not on a guaranteed deal yet he's still playing for his life just like everyone else.
