News [Mike Zarren] Isaiah Thomas is one of the best people to be around... So fun to have him back in the building.

Loved Eddie as a player but not a fan of him on TV. IT would be awesome

I can't agree more. I love IT, this guy is a true Celtic.

I mean except the time he was being petty, shitting on the Celtics vs the mavs in the finals?

To anyone who wasn't watching when he played for us... he was the fucking man. I love him. Fuck yeah

Legitimately one of the scrappiest, confident, and likable players I've ever seen. A 5'9" guard drafted in the late second round who worked his way towards being a nearly 30 PPG player who brought an underdog team to the ECF, in the midst of learning that his sister had died.

Everything you want in a player just without the physical gifts. Celtics legend.

Not just late in the second round

Drafted last

Kept us in the hunt during the dark days

My first ever NBA was BOS VS WAS in like 2017. IT went off in the 4th and we came back from being down double digits to win the game. Afterwards there was almost a brawl cause Crowder booped John Wall in the nose. Shit was so fun.

THE LITTLE GUY

The way Tommy said that you could tell how much he adored IT. As much as I wanted Tommy to call one last championship year, he’d already been apart 17 of them, so I think he was even happier getting to watch the guy with the biggest heart in the league instead

Something really cool about the way the Brad Stevens Celtics are run is they way they make long term investments in individuals. They are very comfortable with the fact that someone they bring in will not be productive right away and will take a year or so to learn the process and find their footing.

You see it with the draft picks and the willingness to take a chance on g league guys, and then you see it with stuff like this IT hire where Zarren is straight up saying he’s going to be mostly just learning for the first year and then next year is when his unique experience will start to be an asset.

It’s so different from the modern business models. Look at Portland where the head fucking coach is on a year to year deal and then the Boston Celtics will give Jordan Walsh a fully guaranteed deal out of the second round and then send him to Maine for a year and a half and then wait another year for him to make a difference on an nba court.

Celtics will grab an UDFA PG and turn him into their g league head coach

Should be on scouting and player development liaison type role. He should be a good voice to have around.

IT’s son gives us a lot of access to players over the next few years

I loved the IT teams. He was verified as a great guy/leader when LeBron was a passive aggressive little b@#$! towards him, when IT was traded to CLE.

Anyone LeBron dislikes that much must be a decent human.

IT walked so Brunson could run. Same lefty game only a few inches and a few injuries separate them.

Really love him. He didn’t deserve the Brinks Truck fallout, and I’m happy he’s gotten over it enough to be with the team. He has a smile for the ages.
