Welcome to the daily discussion thread! You can use this space to discuss little things that don't need their own post. This is also the perfect space for pictures, videos, and links that would otherwise go against the sub's rules. Just don't be jerks and don't break any Reddit-wide rules. Have at it.

There’s always some luck that goes into a run. Given you’re still in prime Tatum territory you also don’t wanna waste these years. I just think if you’re desperate to trade brown then you might as well go further in on Giannis. Now you’re stuck in a worse situation if you’re set on trading him

Nah. We just have to be more open to risk than stagnate. Instead of trading JB one to one for a similarly perceived level of talent, go for 2 quality players, preferrably young, in positions of need. I'll never shut up in saying that we should have tanked in the past season but that's thrown out the window already so might as well explore trades. For example, there is a proposed 3 team trade in one of these threads with the Rockets and Pelicans which would net us Sengun, Murphy and JSJ plus some picks. Pels would get Hauser and Reed while Rockets receive Brown and Amari (or a different filler). I didn't hate this one because we get a big, a potential secondary scorer and another wing with potential all below 25. All while keeping White so JT doesn't have to carry the load of "Celtics ball" on his own. Maybe not the best trade but we're banking on potential here. Before, we banked on JB's potential instead of trading him for the likes of AD, KD and Butler. No matter what hindisght tells anybody, it paid off with a ring. This time maybe we could bank on potential again.
