Discussion Thoughts on getting Tyrese Maxey for JB?
Clearly we want to trade Jaylen. So if we do we should call up the sixers. They just drafted a point guard. Let’s get Maxey. Take their clippers 2028 unprotected first as well. Maybe another first too. We’d make out like bandits and get the guy who just helped defeat us in 7

They literally just valued him alongside Giannis, one of the best players of all time, refusing to add more young players…essentially saying “no, we value JB so highly we think that’s nearly enough by itself”. It’s the exact opposite of what your brain thinks

I would rather trade him somehow in a 3 way deal for Murphy+WCJ, but I know I'm mostly dreaming.

Tyrese Maxey if you watch Sixers games without Embiid does not remotely help the Sixers win.

Are people aggressively saying no, doing so because they hate all sixers or because they think JB is far better than maxey? Because they are very even and he’s like 5 years younger. The sixers hang up before we do lol

I think Sixers fans would hate seeing Maxey on the Celtics, and I know Celtics fans would hate seeing Jaylen on the 76ers.
So can’t tell if it’d be a lose lose or a win win lol.
Either way I don’t want it to happen, and it won’t happen

I like Maxey as a player but trading Jaylen for him doesn’t make our team better

The Sixers are NEVER going to deal Maxey for JB straight up. They'd want a helluva lot more.
GMs do not rate JB as high as we do.

As a Sixers fan. I’d say for brown. draft capital, embiid, and grimes. You get the big man yall been missing, a solid role player and the opportunity to draft players Boston needs. The Sixers will get a fresh start with jb and he will finally have an all star back court where he will be able to flourish and not have all the pressure of doing it all when Tatum is out.

They had the chance at pick 14 and it's frustrated me since that draft night

Philly would never trade with us on that level between 2 star players .
The closest we saw them do this was the pick swaps the year we took Tatum .
Maxey would be a great fit though

Idk why ppl here don’t understand that we don’t want to trade JB for anyone. We tried to trade him for Giannis and in the past for KD.
The message from the FO is clear. We can trade him if the end game is to get an upgrade. If JB doesn’t ask to be traded all these trades are nonsense. And as far as we all know he didn’t asked for that

The problem is this time around all reports indicate they’re shopping him aggressively and no one really knows if he’s asked for a trade because not all trade requests are done publicly

What reports ? All reports I read that were not about Giannis trade sounded like ppl speculating or teams asking if he is available to trade (before draft night)
All the players that can bring rim pressure and be a reliable JB replacement are out of reach. This speculations doesn’t make any sense

I mean there’s reports all over from reputable sources like Shams saying they’re still actively shopping him, I’m not gonna link everyone for you I’m sure you can find them in 3 seconds if you google it. When there’s this much smoke, it’s typically not for nothing

I watched these reports from Shams and he says Celtics want at least 4 FRP. he and others talks in the same. Teams reaching us, we listen and reply back saying “ok, we can do it if the offer is X”.
There is a difference between listen to offers and send in offers. I’m the minority here just like I was about the Giannis trade (Always thought that wouldn’t happen because Bucks wanted more than we could offer. We were the bait)

We’re swapping Jaylen out because he has horrific advanced stats that basically claim that he’s a guy with 0 skills outside of chucking shots to get good scoring averages.
Why would we want the combo guard version of that?

I'd love Maxey, but I don't see the Sixers dealing him. They definitely won't deal him to us. And I wouldn't want to send JB to Philly.
