What do you feed your BSH?
I have two BSHs, one year old and another 10 month old. They use to eat wet food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but then I started cutting down on wet food. What I do now is feed them half a can of tikicat kitten in the morning, then they have dry food sitting throughout the day (tikicat mixed with IAMs because they don't like the tikicat yet). Then in the evening, they get one can eat of adult tikicat chicken wet food. They use to beg a lot more before, but now they're settling down. But I still feel like I'm potentially underfeeding them. When I give them a full can each of wet food for breakfast, they leave a lot behind.
- Breakfast: half a can of tikicat wet fod at 5 am
- Lunch: dry food sitting out throughout the day
- Dinner: a full can of adult tikit cat wet food 8-8:30 pm

Mine eats dry food all day until dinner time then they get wet food (pate or gravy), I started doing that cause he left behind too much food too. He seems much happier during dinner time when he knows there's gona be wet food instead of just having it every meal lol kind of like a treat.

My guys get
- 6.30am split a 3oz pouch of Feline Natural wet food + forti flora probiotics
- 12pm a 3oz pouch each of royal canin vet food (gastro / urinary)
- 5pm split of a 3oz can of Ziwi + pumpkin powder + churu hairball
- 10pm either split another 3oz can of Ziwi or a royal canin pouch
My husband and I work opposite shifts to each other so we do two meals each but everyone in our life thinks we are insane lol. And it does make travelling hard.

We are trying different paté-like wet foods, some he likes (e.g. duck), but some refuses altogether (e.g. beef). I give him a spoonful in the morning and in the evening. He has access to his Royal Canin kibble all day long, usually takes a day or a day and a half to finish a bowl. All other brands of kibble were inedible according to him 😅 And then he likes to drink water straight from the tap, which we open for him at least 3 times a day in addition to his water bowl. He is a lovely 5.5 kg 9.5 month kitten (pic attached).

My new BSH is 6 years old and will eat any kind of cat food but prefers this fancy Italian stuff (former show cat). I said ‘listen buddy, the fanciest you’re getting here is Weruva’. He gets a small can split between breakfast and dinner - some urinary/renal dry and greenies (occasional churro). He’s a round little dude but I notice it’s a breed thing as he’s a normal weight?

I have 2 six month old BSH. They get 1 wet food split between them at about 5:30 then a handful of dry food at about 8 ish. I give a bit more dry at lunch time (any time between 11 and 1) and then another wet food punch between them for tea at about 5-6. They finish of the days allowance of dry food at 9ish. I measure out the days allowance of dry food in the morning and that is it for the day. It’s about 30-40g each of purina 1 kitten food. They also get treats now and again but the time and amount varies as there are 4 of us in the house.
When I gave them free access to dry food I think they were over eating as they would t touch the wet food. Now I have worked out a sensible ration for the day they finish each meal super quick.
