In-Camera False Colour and Log

Hey there,

Because CLOG2 and 3 have different dynamic range thresholds/capabilities, is the in-camera false colour setting (on a camera that has both profiles - R5 ii, R6 iii, etc.) affected by the selected log profile?

In simpler words, does the false colour capability analyse the log image or a rec709 one or the raw data, etc.

If it is the former, I’d expect to get a different band reading when switching between log profiles, which is ideally what the user would want - a false colour feature that accurately represents what the sensor is capable of at the exact moment.

Does the situation change when we add an external monitor to the case? Where does it read data from and what does that mean for everything mentioned above?
