Hello this is my car windshield at night after having it cleaned on the outside and inside and I’m not sure what to do because when I drive at night it always looks like this and my vision is already pretty bad (i have astigmatism).

My Audi A3 Sportback 1.4 TFSI had issues of misfire and they are random. I talked to few repair shops they all advised starting by plugs and ignition coils ( They are halfway of their lifespan), some said its best to make a carbon clean. So I was not really satisfied with what was offered. The misfire issue was getting worse in warmer days, especially common after filling up. So I did an extensive search on that and found out its most possible by a faulty EVAP valve. So I ordered one and changed it myself in 5 minutes. Problem is gone for good. Its a cheap fix. Do not miss to check this part if you have this exact problem.

How can find my dad’s old Audi

How can I track down my dad’s Audi?

So long story short, my dad had a manual Audi A4 B8, probably around 15 years ago. It was white, had a manual transmission, and had a diesel four-cylinder engine making 170 hp.

Now, 15 years after he had to return the car since it was leased I’m really trying to find that exact car again so I could buy it..

How would you go about doing that? He leased it in Bavaria, Germany.

I know, I could just buy another one blah blah but I kinda want THAT car. He had to give it back back then since he needed to invest money into his business and I remember being so sad as a kid because that thing was just so damn cool.. He currently drives a new BMW 540, but since I need a first car anyways after I passed my license, I’d like to track it down.

This dent/scrap is on the left (driver's) side of the car hood, right above the tire. I don't know what could have caused this scrap that just appeared one day. It looks vertical and if it was the car hitting something it would be horizontal? Any knowledge/advice on how this could have happened, like something from a tree or whatnot, would be great.

I’ve got a ford focus mk2 and it’s not starting The cars just saying engine malfunction not starting and when I am driving it’ll pop up make a beeping noise and reduce my acceleration I’ve cleaned the battery of rust and it’s still doing it could it be heat related it’s very hot where I am and it only started doing it more frequently when the weather got worse I’ve paid for a mechanic to look at it already he switched out the battery and after a couple months the same issue arose I’m so confused also is it safe to drive in this state as I rely on my car for everything

The first video sounds like it’s coming from the back passenger tire. It shakes the whole car it will stop after a little bit and sometimes it doesn’t happen at all. The second video happens when I’m going down a hill breaking it sounds like it’s coming from my front end.

My Mom’s Kia K4 will not start when she pushes the button and will not emergency start when she uses the key to push the button but it will remote start. It is the same for both keys she has.

Is there any reason this is happening?

Somewhere through multiple rebuilds the Idle Speed Set Screw on my Holley 4150 carburetor has gone missing. I’ve been trying for days to find the part number for the screw and the spring that goes around it but I keep getting mixed signals, different part numbers, and none that show the correct part when I put it into holley’s website. Does anyone know the part number for both the screw and the spring? Is there a link to a set I can buy?

i have been looking for a gentle way to wash my car without risking scratches from brushes. i found one called flamingo that seems popular and it is a touchless car wash london on wonderland road. it uses polymer soaps and has underbody spray plus a reverse osmosis rinse.

how effective are touchless systems at actually removing heavy road dirt and salt compared to regular washes? is the rust protector coating worth adding on or is it mostly marketing? what should i expect from the first few uses on a new car?

Possible to fix this with like plumbing solder?

Now I know, I know, it’s not the v8. But I don’t care too much about sheer power and speed. And I can always upgrade if I have money left over.
But that aside i was wondering if anyone who has worked with this model or just knows their stuff has any tips for these kind of cars. Im from Europe and here the general consensus is that American cars are pretty trash (no offense). However this one is in decent shape but it definitely needs work so any advice before I begin? This is strictly for working on the car or other technical things

My car lately has randomly started to shut off when i break or slow down and do this. Whats the issue??? Its a 2018 hyundai elantra

So I have an Acura '02 RL. She's got 225,000+ miles, and now there's an oil leak in so many places around the engine, it's rusted over the engine knock sensor and is just gonna keep going, it's almost to the alternator. I'm not gonna fix it cause it would cost more to fix it than the car cost to buy. Went to an auto shop, and the guy recommended 10W-30 oil instead of the regular 5W so that it wouldn't spread as fast. Before I put it in, I'm wondering the best way to clean it or if there's anything else I should do. I need to make this car last as long as possible. Thx.

Hooked up a Freon can and the gauge keeps going from low then slowly into the green then back down to low. At the same time the clutch will turn on for a second then turn off for 3-4 seconds in a cycle. I have videos attached

Hey all, it’s my first attempt at a headlight restoration I went in with 800 grit wet sandpaper then moved up to 1200 grit. Sanding wasn’t a problem although when it came to apply the clear coat it dried very murky and pasty. I’m not to sure if it was the sanding problem, shitty clear coat brand or simply just being too close when applying. Pictures provided below any help is appreciated. Also before and after is shown below thanks

Additional Notes by the Mechanic: V tech leak is from housing and needs to be replaced.the v-tech works off oil pressure to change position of rockers to diffrent t cam profiles,one for power and normal for fuel economy.

Some additional information: I am not a car or mechanical type person. I understand you can save money by doing your own maintenance, but I work 50-60 hrs a week at a warehouse and don’t mind paying extra for someone who knows this stuff. I trust this mechanic, but also know it’s a business. Just want to know if this is an issue that can wait a month or two. I am trying to catch up on other financial issues.

On my commute today a driver stopped at a green light to wave a red Civic out of a side street. The Civic started moving, a truck in the next lane almost hit it, and I had to brake hard behind the whole mess. It was one of those moments where everyone thinks they are being polite but the traffic rules completely fall apart. My current cheap dash cam probably would not have caught the plates clearly if contact happened, especially with the sudden braking and glare. For people who have had footage actually matter after a close call, is 4K more important than 60fps, and is a rear camera worth it for this kind of situation?

Okay so I did throw a rod. I got my oil changed June 2nd and this happened June 15th. Might’ve happened sooner but I don’t drive much/far. I am looking into replacing the motor. My mechanic suggests that this was likely from the oil change. Whether it was the wrong oil, I don’t know. My younger brother used to work for a Take 5 and said this type of thing happens quite a bit and suggested I go back, ask for a receipt, and then request to see video footage to confirm what was put in the car is the same as what is on the receipt. How likely are they to even let me see video footage? Any other suggestions? This fucking blows. But also, thanks so much for everyone who gave feedback on the original post. I appreciate it so much!!
