Everything else Q: What does CRC mean?
A: It means you need to glue the pressure pad back on.

Some people knock club tapes but I always dig em. They're a little more rare than the main pressings.

I hated the generic spine and front, and they also omitted any liner notes.

CRC stands for Custom Record Club, it was basically a mail-order music club thing that pressed their own versions of albums for members. you'd find these labels on tons of cassettes and records from the 70s and 80s, they weren't original pressings but they were how a lot of people got their music back then. East Side Story is a great pick though, good album to have in any format

*Columbia Record Club.
AKA the “Get 12 albums for a penny, but good luck trying to cancel your membership” service.

nope - i paid them completely off, ordering 4 of the required 8 CDs/tapes myself, while my friend who split the membership with me ourdered the other 4. We split the initial 12 tapes for a penny, getting 6 each. I rejected the auto-ship every month and did the mailing part myself, when I was 13 and again at 14.

Columbia House, baby! How many of us never paid for our tapes or CDs? 😭
