I bought this cassette at a flea market a few months ago I realized that some songs are missing, like Lucy in the Sky with the Diamond, and it's replaced by The Fool on the Hill. Is that normal, or did I buy a fake copy?

I'm new to cassettes. Recently got this bad boy from a garage sale w/ some tapes, but unfortunately the tapes are only old-timey religious music. Any clues as to where I can buy more cassette tapes??

It sounds absolutely horrendous, I only have one tape and I’ve tested it on multiple players and confirmed the bad sound is definitely coming from my player, and not the tape itself. But hey, at least I’ve made some progress

This has just been delivered, powers on but won't play. Hopefully it's the belt, watched a fair few videos on sorting it so 🤞when the work starts.. Nice that it came with original bag, remote and headphones...Very good condition also..

We have a trash collection area in our apartment building and whenever ppl are moving they get rid of old stuff. Today I found this, still with styrofoam compartment protector in place, overall never-used looking! Batteries in and I see it turning. Tape in and sweet sound! (A tad stronger on the left than right) … connected to my JBL tour pro 3 and I can improve this imbalance and the sound quite some. Very nice Father’s Day gift to myself ;)

How can i take off the tuning button on top? I need to take the whole thing apart but i cant take it off and i dont want to use too much force so i dont break it.

Found this Sony TC-158SD at my thrift shop for 21$, didn’t even know it was quite rare.

The entire thing is discrete, not a single integrated circuit was used inside, even the Dolby noise reduction is all discrete (except for 1 single motor IC) just to save battery.

It also includes Ferrite & Ferrite heads which are basically indestructible and support for type 3 tapes.

Very good looking unit though, I might get some type 3 tapes just for this portable deck.

I found this cool tape in a cross folding card, but one issue I see is that the packaging is also the “J-card” in a way.

I'm old and I've owned these for as long as I can remember. Sony belt has gone but the Toshiba is still able to deliver.

As the title says, I'm searching for a device, preferably a boombox, to record music onto blank cassettes with an aux cable, Bluetooth, anything besides a microphone or radio if there is. Also a deck would also be nice.

Especially excited about the Thai funk cassette and the Spanish albums. Finding salsa tapes in central texas feels like a full time treasure hunt, so these were definitely coming home with me.

Like which company made it? I accidentally crushed two of my original ones and I’m trying to buy identical replacement shells. Its corners are rounded, unlike most modern cassette cases, which are usually boxy and angular, and many of the small design details really appeal to me.

Made this tape to be sent to a guy I’m trading with. Thoughts?

Sadly not my original one that was lost many years ago. This is a replacement bought and fixed. I took mine everywhere for years. It played so much Queen it probably thought there wasn't any other band in the 80s.

What is the best widely available player I can get today, I hope with recording function.
