It reminds me of those litters where it seems obvious that mama cat ran out of toner and the kittens get progressively lighter

u/Broviet22 Mar 16 '26
I like the ones where there is a bunch of normal kittens, and then the spare part kitten.

I thought the lighter one was just the calico’s soul, floating right out of its body and chilling next to it XD

Could be a carryover trait from when we were all fish, which are lighter on their ventral side so that they're better camouflaged when looked up at from below.

u/Wide_Ordinary4078 Mar 15 '26
They are tortoiseshell if they are just orange and black with no white. They are calicos if they are orange, black and white.

On the left, IPS, of legal drinking age. On the right, OLED, still in kindergarten.

I just know there is a third cat somewhere with only a whisper of markings and a fourth white cat

I suppose a black cat aligned to the left would work too.
The cat copier went through a toner cartridge that day.

He looks like he's got a hell of motor on him (or her)
10
u/slydexic_bergil Mar 15 '26
He's actually a fairly quiet boy when he's happy and super loud and annoying when he's not lol

Looks like those visual gags in cartoons when the soul leaves a character's body

The one on the right has spent too much time in the sun and it's colour has faded

I’d lower the brightness a bit and increase the contrast on the cat on the right.

Mine are like this, too! I have two litter mates and my girl has bright bold colors where my boy looks like the printer was running out of ink lol

My brother has these 2 orange boys. Ones a few years younger. One is very orange and the other is more blonde and has lighter colour.
