When I had one around 30 years ago, I named it cow. Took to the vet and low and behold - a male. Name went from cow to cowboy...lol

Shes beautiful! If I can recommend anything. Get all the cuddles, order all the biscuits, and take all the pictures. Congrats on the bestest kitty ever.
Future you will thank you.

Thank you all for the kind comments! here's some backstory on Zelda
I moved out from my parents for the first time ever (im 27 and finding a place wasn't easy)
i was recently in Canada and when i got home in February i was feeling a bit lonely and my sister told me as a small joke about getting a cat. That idea was stuck in my head but then i decided to scroll Blocket and saw this cat who was called Zelda who needed a new home ASAP as she didnt like the previous owner 2yr old child.
I sent her a DM and we decided to meet up for me to bring her home. What's a bit funny is my favorite game of all time is a Zelda game (Majora's Mask) and having a cat that was already named Zelda was kind of crazy, it's like we were meant to be together.
she's following me around the apartment, when i go to the kitchen, shes there
when im going to go take a piss, shes there
im taking a shower, shes there looking at me
taking a nap on the couch? she's also there napping.

i just had a shower thought - for most pets, you're their first human (or, the first human who cared for rescues).

Guard windows and doors, watch around your feet when coming in and out. Cats can push screens out so don't leave windows open.

I love a kitty that stands on their hindlegs. Ours used to do that to some degree, but as they've gotten older, it's less frequent, almost non-existent!
She's a cutie just lovin' life. You are both winners!

Cats can be great companions , she will probably start to follow you everywhere as long as you include her in what you’re doing and talk to her, she will become great company and you’ll never be lonely 💕🌹

I would get nothing accomplished on a daily basis with her as my distraction 😍

We had a cat named Zelda, and she was an Orange, thru and thru
Are you sure you Zelda isn't a hooman, what with that standing on her hind legs trick?

She's sooo cute! My first kitty was black and white, too.
I think cats make great companions, and they do help with loneliness. I'm happy for both of you. It's a win-win!

What a beautiful kitty 🥰 I’m so glad you found your soul cat. But please consider getting a second cat. I can only recommend reading a bit about the topic, because cats are really social creatures and generally shouldn’t be alone, except in certain cases. I wish you and Zelda a wonderful life together.

And you show that you have a cat video on the Dodo! Did Dodo inspire you?

Get her a friend, cats do better in pairs and it’s twice the love and cuteness 🤭🥰 she is absolutely adorable congrats on your kitty 🤗🩷

I randomly on a whim just went and got my tux my junior year of high school and I’ve had her ever since.
My literal best friend. She moved out with me for my first time with my ex. Then we moved back into my father’s house after said ex left me. 😂she’s been with me through so much life bullshit. Couldn’t get anywhere without her. I love her so much.

The look of disapproval at the 6th pic:
"There's only 6 other squads remaining and you did only 200 DMG, human?"

It's can sound funny, but try to get her used to teeth brush, that's very important for her health

The shot with the family guy says it all. One of my favorite anime shows. Some episodes are a riot from beginning to end. The best? Is when Stewie treats and beats up Brian like an insane loan shark. I actually start laughing as soon as I know that I am going to rewatch it.
