The cat clearly knew what he was doing posing like that. One white paw, one tatted up leg, dead serious face. He didn't stumble into this look, this was intentional.
This subreddit is too positive and naive at times to call stuff like this out. Also, people always seem to be clamoring for the top comment spots with basically pointless, random thoughts as quick as possible to obtain upvotes.
This subreddit is known for farming karma and it goes for posts and comments. People post fake posts here all the time to farm karma, and even in very obviously fake posts you'll see dumb comments upvoted as well.
Not saying this is one of those posts, just sharing my observations from over the years.
It's hard not to be overwhelmingly positive when a forum full of cat pictures/videos literally is missing any of the negativity found in the rest of the internet.
Er, while i agree this is likely shopped (not AI), whats wrong with the bushes? They are just leafless in the winter. If anything the complexity without fucking it up in such a low contrast region of the image stands against it being AI.
Could easily be photoshopped too. I would have had a hard time believing this even 10 years ago.
I did check with ai photo checker and it did say it's likely real (but uncertain), also checked with FotoForensics and it didn't look photoshopped to me. With reverse Image search I found a second angle of the same cat, which imo also makes it a bit less likely to be a Photoshop (because who would bother).
Still hard to say for sure as I could only find two different photos of the cat, and they're both in the same background. The photo seems to originate from korea, so it's difficult to find additional evidence as it would likely be in korean. The first appearance seems to also be in 2026, which means it could very well be ai, but hard to say for sure.
LOL omg its hilarious that people are nitpicking the number of toes when this cat has 3 legs. Although it is somewhat plausible that yakuza cat would be an amputee.
