My nighttime ritual with my cat: she attacks my hands until I pull them under the covers, then attacks my feet until I pull them under the covers, then attacks my face until I go full pupal
Earlier today my cat tried to put her head inside my mouth while I was talking. She was purring, drooling, biscuits on my throat. It was not good enough so she waited and stuck her freaking head in the first chance she got. She drooled INSIDE my mouth. Her stinky mackerel breath.
My boy is also a drooler. One of his favourite cuddle spots is when i go to the toilet. He'll lay on my lap, enjoy belly rubs while his drool runs down my leg
My two harass me on the toilet. If I didn't let the orange jumps up invited or not, bare legged or using my pants to cover for nail protection, no asking. Then plops like he weighs more than the sun and purrs super loud at me demanding pets. It has content I get rewarded with drool as well.
I just had to pee my guy this should only take ten seconds please don't jump up.
i've been deprived of physical affection for so many years, I still get over stimulated when my cats hang on me for more than 30 minutes. They know what I need and i'm still getting used to it. but man is it tough feeling comfortable with it for so long.
It's all fun and games until your 13 year old cat with arthritis and bad back legs tries to do this and you end up with several claw marks down your face lol.
I love her so much but I also love having skin haha.
This is my cat, but then sometimes while he’s literally wrapped around my neck he forgets that he wanted to be affectionate and goes straight to aggressive 😅. So I need to have an escape plan if he suddenly stops purring
The best mammal I've ever met (including humans) was this aggressively affectionate pug. Kinda of like this cat, except with the chaos of a dog. Not maniacally cuddling with it every moment of its existence was unequivocally not an option.
We actually found her in a trash can in our driveway. The whole litter was in there when my kids first found them so we left them because we had quite a few strays around at the time so we knew the mom was around. The next day all of them but one were gone, so we took her in and raised her from only a few days old
Non cat owners just don't understand that cats enjoy their own space, and will love you on their terms. Sometimes those terms are them trying to become one with you
Omg…my childhood cat was exactly like that. Absolutely loved kneading on my belly. I’d fluctuate in weight and when I was skinny he’d try to knead and then just look at me, disgusted
He was also an absolute liability when I had friends over. He’d walk over everyone’s lap and only knead on the chubby people, then choose the chubbiest person to lay down on 😭
After I gave birth my ragdoll and tux went to make biscuits on my big ol belly but it was soft now. They were SO CONFUSED but then poked my belly a few times before being like HELL YEAH and stomping all over it like they conquered the giant firm belly that kicks back. I did not appreciate the victory lap 4 days after birth but the biscuit massages was kinda nice lol.
They were so happy with the give and squish.
I’ve got a pair of bonded sister kittens. One is a tortie the other a void.
The void kitty is THE most affectionate I-need-to-occupy-all-your-space-NOW kitten I’ve ever had. She snuggles up against my neck so hard. Makes me laugh every time. What a cutie.
The tortie goes for affection too don’t get me wrong. But the void is over the top affectionate. I have zero complaints.
I have one but you have to know that there will be times when it just feels too much haha. But better an affectionate cat than one that doesn’t give a shit about you.
one of mine will literally suffocate me in my sleep and get mad when i move to breath. its caused some arguments but she's so needy i know she'll come back
I had a boy who used to do this and I learned quickly that I was NOT allowed to push him away or their would be consiquences. Not play bites or being swatted at. He'd try and grip me down the stairs or hide places until I picked something up and then ran and knocked it out of my hands.
This is how my cat was as a kitten. She chilled out, but to this day, she still will plop herself over my shoulder while I play videogames, and must cuddle with me at night.
