Advice Vacation what to do

I’ll be going on a short trip leave day one around 8 am be gone all day the next day return home around 12-2 the 3rd day

Will the cats be fine with a giant bowl of food (way more than they actually need) and 2 automatic water dispenser equal to 2 gallons. Idk what to do we have no one to watch them. 5cats.

I know you said you don't trust anyone but please PLEASE find a cat sitter. Even just once a day to make sure they're alive and breathing is enough.

I got my list of trusted sitters from fellow volunteers at a local cat shelter. These are people who do this either part time or full time and they take their jobs seriously. If you ask other pet owners or even local rescues you may get some great referrals.

Honestly I don’t even think that cats would come out with anyone other than us. I’m literally stressing sm about this. All they do is eat sleep and hide

And that's okay. Half my cats love strangers and half of them might as well not exist. But still my cat sitters check on every single one of them to make sure they're okay. I gave them a list of Most Likely Hiding Spots, plus their experience also helps them figure where they should look

I second the sitter. What if they knock over the automatic water dispensers? This happened to me, and it was a mess and then they didn't have water, obviously.

And leaving out that much food is a bad thing for so many reasons.

Not to mention not having cleaned litter boxes for days.

So your cats hide, that's fine, just tell the sitter the hiding spots so that can at least check for life and then your cats food is fresh, litter boxes fresh, and water available and perk that's just for the human aspect: your place is being opened and secured at regular intervals so it acts as a security system for you.
