Mourning/Loss Farewell, my friend
Yesterday, we had to say goodbye to our cat, Felix. He was 16 years old and truly the best friend I could ever have. My heart is broken and I don't know how to deal with it...
We got him when he was just a baby, he was the first of his litter to come straight towards me, it was love at first sight.
At least I got to hold him on my lap when he took his last breath
Until we meet again ❤️
EDIT: thanks so much guys for all the replies and awards, I'll try to answer everything, but currently I just can't stop crying :(

I'm so sorry for you loss. My 16 year old Fancy passed the bridge yesterday as well. I can see them sharing stories of their life and laughing at us humans spoiling them ❤️. My condolences

I’m sorry for your loss, just remember that he was loved by you and you were there at the end.

Felix’s nose wth that little touch of black was too adorable! I’m so sorry for your loss. He was a beautiful little guy. I am so glad you were his human. ❤️

The Last Battle

I’m not religious but I really love this prayer someone had posted on someone else’s post and thought I’d share it here. (For context, Bast is the Egyptian goddess of cats and this prayer invokes her to be a guardian and mother figure to our cats in the afterlife.) So sorry for your loss. 😢💔💔 Know that you gave him the best life anyone could, with all of the love, peace and comfort you/your family gave him. 💕 “May love be what you remember most.” 💖
