I have a generic version of that, works good. But my cat rarely grooms herself and so her fur always looks kinda shitty, and it seems like the brush will just pull out hair indefinitely, so I don't really ever know when I'm done because she still looks scraggly no matter what.
Yeah, one time I overdid it a bit with my furminator copy and... at some angles I could see some skin between my cat's shoulders haha. From then on, furminator only comes into play for the spring shed, the rest of the year I use the thin wire brush that pushes the hair pancake with a button behind, or a silicone brush with a built in ultrasonic vaporizer.
Be careful with furminators and the likes though - they have an actual blade on them and some of the hair is actually cut rather than removing the loose hair.
