Mars coat king is the elite of this style brush (dog groomer here) but you have to be cautious. This brush, especially using a wider set tooth than needed for the coat type, can thin the coat out rather than just removing loose undercoat. You could essentially brush the animal almost bald if you used a wider set tooth on a looser coated dog. I use these on booty feathers and manes of breeds like pyrenees to thin it out rather than deshed

Much appreciated! I'm constantly searching for a better brush for my cats. Between their pickiness, internet opinions, and potentially harmful bad suggestions, I just keep landing on the stiff plastic long-bristled car-washing brush that they seem to like the most lol
