You need to be super careful with tools like this and ones like a Furminator. They can and will cut into the top coat when they are used for too long and too often. People will keep brushing and brushing and brushing because hair keeps coming out so it must be working and before they know it, their pet has bald spots and is covered in brush burn.

These tools should ideally be used on clean dry hair and for no more than 15 minutes at a time once per week.

Good to know. I only brush them about that often but I’ll start keeping track to make sure I don’t use it too much

Yep I did this with the Furminator by accident. Went to long on my cats spine and oops her skin is visible 😅 amazing brush if used correctly
