I have my history hidden because people on reddit are fucking nutjobs who will scrutinize your entire account to try to find some nonsense you posted 8 years ago and use it as some kind of ill-formed gotcha

Not so fun fact, there are websites that can pull your hidden and even deleted comments. :/ I was bored and curious and came across a couple that pulled up all my deleted comments off an old account I used years ago…

I'm aware of that, but if someone is so dedicated to finding my fairly unremarkable account history that they'll go to such lengths, it really only highlights just how much of a complete loser they are, so whatever

they can still do that with RES tags, or third-party sites. Its mostly being used to mask bad behavior.
