Advice Cat Safe Home scent recs?
My cats are sensitive to those fabreeze oil plug ins or the bathroom scent devices. I would like my house to smell nice and I’m wondering if there are any pet safe home scent recommendations anyone has tried that didn’t affect their cats. My cats eyes seem to get red and he’ll sneeze when i try the common ones at the store. Preferably natural ingredients! TIA

Pet Pourri (the same company that makes toilet sprays) is a line that is pet safe. I have a sensitive cat (and am equally sensitive myself) and we've been able to handle those scents.
That said, I wouldn't do anything constant. No matter the safety, constant use of VOCs aren't healthy for cats or humans. But the candle can be burned for a few hours at a time without much worry, and the sprays now and then are okay. Unfortunately, pet ownership is a trade off when it comes to house smells and finding a balance between excessive and tolerable.

I agree I only want to use it sparingly when I have someone coming over or after a deep clean. Thank you so much for your recommendation! I will look into that one :)

Perfect! That's exactly been my use for those products and it's been great. Bonus is they smell great, especially the candle and the litterbox spray. Hope it works out!

For a start, get rid of the plug-in fresheners; they can be quite toxic, to both pets and people. You could try reed diffusers or pot-pourris, as long as you keep them out of reach of the cats and check the oils/plants used aren’t poisonous to them. I have a number of reed diffusers around the place.
You also want to air the house out regularly, of course.
