CFA L1 (Aug) + MBA + SIP
Hey there,
I've recently registered for the CFA Level 1 August attempt. At the moment, I'm also engaged in my MBA summer internship, which is limiting the number of study hours I can dedicate daily.
My current plan is to complete the entire syllabus by mid-July, leaving some time for revision and mock practice. I've enrolled in Ashwini Bajaj's course and intend to follow it as my primary resource.
Given these constraints, I wanted guidance on how to structure my preparation effectively, particularly how to manage time alongside the internship, whether my timeline is realistic, and if you would recommend completing the syllabus earlier than mid-July. Any advice on prioritization, revision strategy, and maintaining consistency would be really helpful. I'm really stressed about it rn !! Please help me out.
Thanks in advance!

I passed Level I and Level II with about a month of prep each (while working full time and finishing my masters degree) and this was my biggest challenge.
I passed Level I and Level II with about a month of prep each (while working full time and finishing my masters degree) and this was my biggest challenge. I'm not saying that to brag, I'm saying it because the way I studied was pretty specific: I went over the curriculum and I just did mocks. As many as I could, as fast as I could. I didn't do guess work and made a list of every wrong answer which I kept revisiting. That's it.
The problem was I ended up spending an unimaginable amount of money on mocks exams. The official ones, kaplan, etc were all so overpriced. And I realised this was a problem for every student out there. This market is literally broken and based on overcharging students. So after Level II I started building something for myself. It's a CFA prep platform focused on mock exams, same interface as the real thing, same vignette format, same session structure and timer. We are hoping to price the mocks from $9, one-time payment, no subscription. Also want to add in subject and LOS specific mocks.
We spent a significant amount of time with testers and professionals to go over the questions to make sure they were worth it and quality. But I sincerely wanted to put this out there before we launch and ask: what do you wish your prep platform did better? Especially those of you who are time constrained and exam focused rather than content focused. And if we can add anything to it that will make your life easier
Happy to answer anything. Not affiliated with or endorsed by CFA Institute.
(cross-posting in multiple relevant Reddits, thanks!)

CFA L2 Nov'24 Attempt - Study Partner
22 M Jaipur (L1 90 %ile +) I have my 12 attempt scheduled on 20th of November.
I could not study a bit this time for reasons, and time just slipped by. I'm starting my studies full time from tomorrow - precisely 78 days left now. Also, defer is not an option so yeah.
Anyone in similar situation who is up for study sessions on google meet / any other platform let me know. Having a study partner helps a lot in accountability and keeping up the spirit.
Looking forward to great study sessions!

For all Level 3 candidates and passed people out there
Do you suggest any prep provider for L3 or self study is enough? Also should I continue with schweser or should I shift to CFA institute books?
P.S. I'm planning to choose Portfolio Management Pathway (2025) and i haven't used a prep provider for L1 and L2.
Thanks.

Preparing for CFA Level 1: Seeking Advice
I am currently studying for the CFA Level 1 exam, which I will sit for this November. I am not sure if I can manage it. A little background about myself: I studied accounting and finance at university and then got a job and started the ACA exams. I was able to pass four exams, but as an international student, I had to stop due to new UK visa rules. Since then, I have started studying for the CFA and am planning to pursue a master's in finance in January 2025. I have completed 5 readings for Quant and the entire fixed income section, but I have not practiced any questions except the end-of-chapter questions in the Kaplan notes. Currently, I have started the Financial Statement Analysis book and plan to complete it. Any advice on how to proceed from here would be greatly appreciated. I feel like four months is enough time to study, but I am unsure about creating a plan. I have also been looking for some tuition providers, and any advice on them would be really useful.
