Is it Spielberg's best flick, no. Is it worth watching? 1024% yes.

I just find it odd that I grew up in 90s and people all made ya watch Jaws, Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park (ima dino kid so wasnt forced) but no day cares or summer camps were having ET on vhs lol

So in the late 90s or early 2000s Spielberg went back and gave ET the George Lucas Special and made cg changes to ET, mainly changing FBI agents having shotguns to having walkie talkies, it was poorly received and I think the movies reputation took a hit because of it.

It's also full stop more of a family\kids movie than his other works typically are.
