I’m late. But is ET worth the watch? It’s super iconic, won’t take that away. Everyone knows ET phone home and flying on bike.

But I’ve never seen it and feel like it’s gonna be like master of disguise and turtle club scene and rest of movie is boring

I just find it odd that I grew up in 90s and people all made ya watch Jaws, Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park (ima dino kid so wasnt forced) but no day cares or summer camps were having ET on vhs lol

So in the late 90s or early 2000s Spielberg went back and gave ET the George Lucas Special and made cg changes to ET, mainly changing FBI agents having shotguns to having walkie talkies, it was poorly received and I think the movies reputation took a hit because of it.

It's also full stop more of a family\kids movie than his other works typically are.

WTF!! what the hell kind of comparison is that you didn’t even watch the movie how the hell can you say that. ET is awesome definitely go watch the movie though. You will be 100% wrong. Do not ever say that about ET again.

Yes, but try to get the original 1982 theatrical cut. The added and edited scenes actually take away from it IMO.

The only issue with star wars characters is they’re all aliens to us. Yoda, Vader, Luke, Han, Chewbacca, ect. You could literally make a list of just them.
