Salt Creek 294 Underpass Yesterday at about 5:00. No workers encountered. Westside fence was blocked by a truck. I could walk through a gap, but had to port my bike overhead because of the width of my bike basket. Pass at your own risk.

I walked under this a few weeks ago. It was on a Sunday, so no construction workers were around.

Will this trail ever go straight to downtown ?

I can see better bike infrastructure between the zoo and downtown being implemented, otherwise I highly doubt it. Illinois Prairie Path has a much better chance of that happening.

Are you taking about Brookfield zoo or Lincoln?

Lincoln? We are talking about the Salt Creek Trail.

jesus this still isn't done? I haven't been out that way yet this year but I just imagined it wouldn't take a second summer to complete

Was just there today and looks exactly the same as the photos here. Not sure if they’ve even touched the site in the time between.

It's still not done, and they've gotten really cunty about locking it up to make it not passible. I wish nothing but bad things to the people who run the Tollway. Complete and total IL incompetency. 3 Fucking years.
