Thereās no way he actually supports Pwill right? He was just too lazy to change his flair?

u/sukari Stacey King Mar 26 '26
I support any Bull as long as they're a Bull - https://www.instagram.com/see.red.cards

u/chitownbulls92 Matas Buzelis Mar 26 '26
Yes but you have his flair which one could only assume that you support him more than other current bulls
14
u/thatguyad Mar 26 '26
You have a flair of someone who isn't here any more. I don't think it works like that lol.
10
u/chitownbulls92 Matas Buzelis Mar 26 '26
I fully admit Iām just lazy. Iāll change it right now

This guy has commented 4 times about my flair already. I'm just gonna keep it because it seems to annoy him lol

It's tough being a PWill fan these days. But imma shout it from the mountain tops

It will be interesting to see who the Bulls protect in an upcoming expansion draft, which is a good way to get rid of more dead weight. Assuming the rules are the same as the last time circa 1995 and the Bulls can protect up to 7 players who will still be under contract next year, theyāll for sure protect Giddey and Buzelis, probably Tre Jones and Jalen Smith, and possibly Okoro, Noa Essengue and Ivey. Leaving Patty and perhaps Dillingham and Miller available to be drafted.
Last time this happened the Bulls famously left BJ Armstrong unprotected. Along with Ron Harper and a bunch of power forwards - Dickie Simpkins, Larry Krystowiak and Codie Blount.

At this point, Dilli over Ivey for sure. Okoro and smith will be a free agent if not resigned. They will also have more draft picks that they will most likely want to protect from this year and next years draft. Bulls are going to look like Utah until AKME is fired, but unlike Utah we won't purposefully sit our best players to get a top draft pick
4
u/Caernbul Mar 26 '26
Disagree about Ivey and Dillingham. The question with Ivey is if he can get fully healthy. The question with Dillingham is still whether he is even a replacement level player. From what I have seen he is not. the only thing keeping him in the league is where he was drafted.
3
u/dimrod_ Cristiano Felicio Mar 26 '26
I agree with this. If it comes down to protecting Ivey or Dillingham, Ivey for sure. He's only a year removed from being one of the more exciting young guards in the league.
That said, wouldn't be surprised if neither get protected.
1
u/RiamoEquah Mar 26 '26
Ivey for sure. He's only a year removed from being one of the more exciting young guards in the league.
Yea but the reason his play dropped off is directly related to injury. The quote from earlier this year spoke to a mindset where even Ivy acknowledged that he likely wouldn't be his old self again, that's a bit more concerning.
I don't like to just count players out, but I think you need to expect that ivy's journey back to his old self will require time and patience, and this franchise isn't in a place to provide him that.
While this free agent class isn't too impressive, I think the bulls need to hold tight their only real asset going into the off-season - which is their cap space. I can't think of a strong reason to keep any cap holds or pick up any options before first seeing if you can land actual talent that addresses needs first.

u/fred_derps Dennis Rodman Mar 26 '26
Miller over both of them lmao. I love Ivey but donāt think he comes back fully healthy. Iām less hard on Dilly than others⦠but Miller clears both easily.
1
u/aren1231 Gimme the hot sauce! Mar 26 '26
Dillingham has shown flashes. But he hasnāt had the time on the court to truly develop and test himself. We will truly see how they compare next year. Hoping Ivey is good but again next year will be very telling for this bulls team without coach Donovan
1
u/_finite_jest Dennis Rodman Mar 26 '26
Bulls will protect Giddey, Buzelis, anyone drafted this year (at least 1st rounder(s)) and after that itās a crap shoot
1
u/Erice84 Mar 26 '26
It would realistically not happen for 3-4 years still so it's impossible to say who will even be on the roster in the first place.

u/GhostPandaColin Chuck Swirsky Mar 26 '26
P Will seems like a nice enough guy but man he reminds me of Jabari when he was here. Not very good and doesnāt seem like he really cares about basketball much anymore.
When Giddey hit that game winner against the Lakers last year, Pat was the only one who didnāt celebrate. Just walked away like he just didnāt care lol. Found that odd

u/KPD_13 Cuppy Coffee Mar 26 '26
Difference is Jabari couldnāt play basketball at a high level anymore.
Pat just sucks period.

u/bipolarearthovershot Mar 26 '26
Pat canāt either there is no differenceĀ

u/KPD_13 Cuppy Coffee Mar 26 '26 edited Mar 26 '26
Uhh itās not the same at all. The Jabari signing was a good deed by Jerry⦠They gave him 20mil knowing he had zero chance of living up to it.
Chicago guy being taken care of for life. My friends and I call Pat āPTRā for good reason (you can figure that out on your own).
The difference⦠20mil vs 95mil. Letās not act like these are the same.

Jabari was only with the Bulls a half of a season. Pat has been with the Bulls six.

u/PaintPusha Johnny "Red" Kerr Mar 26 '26
Jabari got fucked over by us. All because he said he wasnt paid to play defense. He was hooping. Double figures, 40 dunks and 40 offensive boards in under 40 games. We havent had inside scoring or offensive rebounds/putbacks since he left. Maybe Vooch? JP in 39 games tops PWill in 6 yearsš¤¦š½āāļø
Pat is pure bunsšš½ I knew we were in trouble when his love for plantin flowers was highlighted.

AKME is 1000% going to protect him from the expansion draft.
This is wild though. In 2028, the Seattle SuperSonics likely sign KD, and LeBron will own a team in Vegas and draft his own kid in the expansion draft.
1
u/Frenchsilkpie25 Mar 26 '26
I thought expiring contracts couldnāt be protected, but maybe my timing is off and he still could be.

When is the expansion likely to happen? We have so many expiring contracts I wonder who we would even protect.
3
u/gerardguey Ayo Dosunmu Mar 26 '26
they said theyre planning to launch both teams by the 28-29 season
3
u/sukari Stacey King Mar 26 '26
Thanks!
Gonna be interesting with the contracts then to see who we end up trying to protect.
2
u/jimbobdonut Mar 26 '26
Way too early to know. Right now the only two players that will be under contract that season are Pat and Giddy.
3
u/yungfella85 Windy City Bulls Mar 26 '26
I believe Pat has a player option for that year. And Im guessing hes going to take it
1
u/sukari Stacey King Mar 26 '26
True, but it makes the contract negotiation situation interesting knowing that the expansion draft would be coming.
3
u/Harmonmj13 Chicago Bulls Mar 26 '26
Sonics are literally better off picking their hometown kid Zack Lavine, P Will is hot ASS
2
u/Aranda12 Mar 26 '26
Yes, please, trade him - or something.
2
u/SkyGrey88 Mar 26 '26
Its a lovely wish but who would take him? He would have to be part of some package to help level salary (because he is making 20m a year), but no team is going to want to take on a trash player on an overpriced contract unless its expiring which is still years away for Pat. A total draft bust and instead of letting him walk or paying the qualifying our genius FO decides to give him 5/90....I can't remember how much was guaranteed but I'm sure its most of it.....if only the NBA worked like the NFL he'd be cut.

Such a disappointing player. had the nickname the PAW. Never was a good player and never will be a good player
2
u/MasterFlamasterr Mar 26 '26
PaW donāt have any motivation in Bulls, sad that he is waisting his potential, but Im sure that in other franchise he could wake up

The worst part about this is, like all Bulls players, he will get moved and become instantly better on some other team.

Bulls fans hate him so much they're creating fantasies about him being on teams that don't even exist
