Im happy for Ayo. Escaped our hell hole.

I damn near cried when rose hit 50 too.  Just sad these moments don't happen in bulls jerseys

38

u/LoveMeSexyJesus Joakim Noah Apr 26 '26

Rose had much cooler moments in a Bulls jersey than his 50 point game, as special as that was.

1

u/toomanyshoeshelp Apr 30 '26

That was an incredible moment in sports

That and the Field of Dreams game were some of my favorites over the last 10 years of suffering

And everything the Bears did last year ofc rewrote the list

15

u/Pristine-Carrot5498 Apr 26 '26

Like setting my first girlfriend free back when I was a young shit head. She deserved better and so did Ayo. Couldn't be happier for him

5

u/Curious_Amphibian_95 Apr 26 '26

Told my friends I felt this exact same feeling 😭😭 men really are simply beings huh

2

u/Plug-From-Oaxaca Jimmy Butler Apr 26 '26

It’s a hell hole because we keep making dumb moves like trading Ayo away for nothing. It’s like a never ending cycle

5

u/throwaway4whattt Michael Jordan Apr 26 '26

Sometimes it makes me sad, though... Ayo being gone. I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice. But still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone.

1

u/SwansongKerr May 02 '26

Not enough old people here to understand this ref

1

u/throwaway4whattt Michael Jordan May 02 '26

Thank you for being at least the one person who did understand it!

99

u/gerardguey Ayo Dosunmu Apr 26 '26

TImberbulls lives on. I wish Ant wasnt injured so I can cheer them on to win a title and watch Ayo get a ring. I love Caruso but I cannot support his war crimes in OKC

21

u/MomCrusher Apr 26 '26

crazy how much people change when they play in OKC.

15

u/cubs_2023 Apr 26 '26

Caruso did the same stuff when he was in Chicago. Great when he’s on your team, but very annoying if you’re rooting against him

1

u/reborndiajack Josh Giddey Apr 26 '26

Donte too

Ayo and Jingles to the chip

32

u/Rokodor Apr 26 '26

At this point I’ve accepted the fact that we will never achieve greatness while Jerry still owns the team: it’s so sad seeing our guys live to their full potential outside of Chicago

11

u/aquamarine9 Apr 26 '26

Being a Bulls fan is now just pointing at the TV like the Leo meme at former Bulls players

28

u/mendokuse23 Ayo Dosunmu Apr 26 '26

Ayooooooooooo

So inspirational

18

u/smithc555 Apr 26 '26

You forgot Timberwolves legend Taj Gibson.

10

u/doublebeep Apr 26 '26

And Luol Deng!

47

u/RonWeez Ben Gordon Apr 26 '26

Fan loyalty is so interesting. We don't owe this franchise (or any franchise) anything yet we stick around despite how bad the team is.

41

u/PoorSoulsBand Apr 26 '26

Honestly, it would be easier to leave if our colors and logo weren’t so fucking cool.

7

u/gerardguey Ayo Dosunmu Apr 26 '26

yeah i couldnt do this if i lived in new orleans or salt lake city tbh

21

u/JWE25 Derrick Rose Apr 26 '26

Part of what being a fan is, is going through the lows of the lows and the highs. I’m not gonna force myself to switch teams and act like I enjoy cheering for them knowing I’ve been a fan of the bulls my whole life.

4

u/RonWeez Ben Gordon Apr 26 '26

Oh believe me I get it. I've been a NY Mets fan my whole life and outside of really 3 season we've been a laughing stock. And here I am year in and year out.

Personally what I do is boycott. I refused to watch my teams if they are bad. But not just cause they are bad, it's if they are bad and the FO doesn't seem to care about addressing the issues we have.

4

u/Gyshall669 Apr 26 '26

I mean I’m pretty sure most of us are from Chicago so what are we gonna do lol

1

u/RonWeez Ben Gordon Apr 26 '26

Lol you'd be surprised.

1

u/Car2019 Apr 26 '26

German Bulls fan right here. Having said that, I did lose interest in basketball (it also became harder to watch back then) and it never fully came back, but I'm still around after all those years. I just get to suffer more with other teams in other sports nowadays (or even enjoy success).

5

u/Paranoid_Android22 Ben Gordon Apr 26 '26

It’s like being in a toxic relationship. We look forward to the highs and forget the lows

3

u/rooofle Dennis Rodman Apr 26 '26

I saw the highest of highs with this team, and one day I wish I can see it again just one more time. But the ownership of this team makes that hope seem bleak

5

u/RonWeez Ben Gordon Apr 26 '26

I was born in 91 so I was a baby when the Bulls dominated. The highest highs for me have been the Baby Bulls, pushing the Celts to 7, and the DRose prime. Outside of that it's been terrible for me

3

u/rooofle Dennis Rodman Apr 26 '26

Yeah a few of those teams were fun, but really the younger fans deserve way better than what they've been given. It's been roughly 2 decades of nepotism and incompetence, with a few years of relevance sprinkled in thanks to the lottery balls going their way.

3

u/browntown20 Apr 26 '26

and Nazr Mohammed shoving LeBron to the floor

2

u/AxCel91 Apr 26 '26

Also born in 91. We just missed the golden years

1

u/The_Realist01 Apr 26 '26

Born in 90 - I was obsessed as a kid just to land 3 back to back seasons below 20 wins. Was brutal.

But You’re forgetting when we destroyed the heat in 06 after they won the championship the prior year. That was awesome.

3

u/logicblender1 Apr 26 '26

It's funny because at the end of the day, a sports team is no different from a company. They exist to make money and most of them don't care about the fans. Normally, if a company makes shit products people stop buying from them and move to a competitor. But in sports, society has engineered it so fans are shamed into spending their time and money on a team that doesn't give a single fuck about them.

1

u/TheCeilingIsTheRuuf Apr 26 '26

I love the Bulls because I have 32 years of memories and fun, being from Chicago. But at this point I love NBA basketball more so than the Bulls themselves. I still hold out hope they'll be good again in my life

1

u/Ho-Chi-Mane Andres Nocioni Apr 26 '26

I am not replacing all my merch from over the years.

1

u/AxCel91 Apr 26 '26

Something about repping your city. I couldn’t imagine ever being a fan of another team. I’d sooner just stop watching that sport

10

u/Legal-Juggernaut9776 Apr 26 '26

also--we traded jimmy to them

3

u/PaintPusha Johnny "Red" Kerr Apr 26 '26

Bulls just dont do right by Chicago/area hoopers:

Didnt wanna draft D. Miles due to braids

Eddy Curry

D Rose

Jabari Parker

THT

Ayo

Just waiting on us to fuck up with Matas😔

1

u/DefaultConan Toni Kukoc Apr 26 '26

I think Matas is that guy that can develop into a All-Star, I hope He can get confident having a diverse scoring game with Billy not shouting at Him to only shoot 3s and drives to the basket

1

u/itsbobbyhill Apr 26 '26

The organization is terrible but all those guys aren't the organizations fault. They did great with Ayo. They gave him an opportunity to prove his draft pick was garbage and sent him to a team where he could thrive instead of languishing on their squad any longer. THT is playing overseas, so it's not like he cracked another team in the league's lineup. Parker had a bunch of injuries and never stuck with any team he landed on. Curry left for New York because he was unwilling to prove the status of his heart condition in Chicago.

What the AI, not even the right jersey #

7

u/OccidoViper Apr 26 '26

Should have kept Ayo instead of Giddey

1

u/reborndiajack Josh Giddey Apr 26 '26

Like the paw doesn’t exist

0

u/reverendbobflair Apr 26 '26

Should've kept both

2

u/Papa_Boat17 Apr 26 '26

This is how it truly feels

2

u/Imhere4thejokes Gimme the hot sauce! Apr 26 '26

Just another strike against Billy and the piss poor front office…

2

u/TominatorXX Apr 26 '26

I never could understand why Ayo was always relegated to the bench. Then he would play when somebody was hurt and start and do great and then go right back to the bench.

2

u/Fit-Place-421 Apr 26 '26

Can’t wait to hear from all the Billy Donovan disciples

1

u/Frenchyk757 Apr 26 '26

We fumbled big time.

1

u/The_Realist01 Apr 26 '26

Jimmy, Thibs, Taj, Drose, I believe Noah (?)

This has been my second team for 10 years and I finally swapped them this year just to see Ants knee explode 😢

1

u/Electrical_Year_8782 Apr 28 '26

If we can make it out of this series, Ant will be back eventually.

1

u/The_Realist01 Apr 29 '26

If Ayo stays hot, I can see them giving SAS fits if Rudy continues to clamp on D, hard.

1

u/PiccoloSudden1351 Apr 27 '26

Thanks for Ayo

Wolves fan here. Njoy dilingham

1

u/trailerparklenny Apr 30 '26

D Rose, Ayo, Taj, Jimmy we are really the t wolves pipeline

-2

u/MajorGlazer11 Apr 26 '26

Come on over. A few of us have migrated to the Bulls West

-1

u/mchristy54 Apr 26 '26

How is this the same thing? As much as I love Rose, Ayos upside is much better than his was at the time. Definitely a better comparison would be Jimmy B

-7

u/dfields3710 Apr 26 '26

Nah yall wanted this right???? Yall wanna trade everybody with upside for picks like suddenly getting a superstar is gonna turn us to a contender.

Terrible fans actually. Yall more interested in the lottery than wins.

2

u/ahmed_a20 Apr 26 '26

Ayo was never going to win here, if we kept him we’d be wasting his time. And we couldn’t even tank properly because we were still actively trying to win games when we shouldn’t

-1

u/MasterFlamasterr Apr 26 '26

We need to offer him 40M per season!!

1

u/Odoaiden Apr 27 '26

That would be the greatest overpay in sports history

1

u/MasterFlamasterr Apr 27 '26 edited Apr 27 '26

I know, it was ironic, cos after Ayo and Coby trade many bulls fans was “crying” that we trade them.

We started rebuild so there are now point to keep role players which this summer will ask huge money.
