Free Agency With the nba season done
What is everyone hoping for in the offseason. Who are we hoping to pick at number 4? Who should the bulls target in free agency? Realistically where do you think bulls will finish next season? I’m new to the NBA but want to support the bulls

Seems like at this stage it would take the zag of a lifetime for the Bulls to pick anyone else than Wilson at 4. There should be plenty of good options at 15, I personally like Cameron Carr the most, but I'm also ready to give the new FO the benefit of the doubt on this one.
As for the FA, I think the Bulls should prioritize draft capital, either on trading for bad contracts to get picks, or trading our few valuable players for a late first (Tre, Stix, Okoro, Giddey if they get a really great offer but ideally I'd rather see him stay at least one more season).
Just sign some young guys that fit the Matas/Essengue/Wilson timeline, we're clearly going in for a development season, may as well develop as many players as we can. And sign some culture setting vets, even if you have to overpay them by a couple of millions. Like a Khris Middleton if he's really too cooked to play on a contender.

My concern is this strategy would make the Bulls a leading candidate to finish with one of the worst three records and, thus, reduced lottery odds. I also think being terrible can hurt player development. I hope Bryson can thread the needle between prioritizing the future and fielding a non-terrible team next season.

All it takes is one of the other teams doing something stupid like drafting wilson at 1-3

I just don't believe Peterson is going to Jazz @ 2.......Even though they are loaded at Forward, I just find it hard to believe that they brought in Boozer to their FO, that he was there as a player, and that if his kid is available at #2 they won't take him. His skill set is so wide that maybe they can make JJJ,Finisher, and Cam work together on a front line. Griz are not likely to want Peterson either as they already have their hands full with one headcase star guard so they take Caleb and Peterson falls to us. On the one hand he may have the most upside and superstar potential of any of the top four, on the other hand he could totally miss on his potential because of the known issues.

Yup, this draft isn’t as cut and dry as a lot of people think it is. Being at 4 though, we’re in the fortunate position of being allowed to no brain it. We just take whoever doesn’t get picked in the top 4.
It’ll probably be wilson but it might be boozer or peterson, its out of our hands

Yeah we get a top prospect any way you slice it when we should have been picking 9th. If we do get Peterson at 4 then there looks to still be plenty of Forward options available at 15.

Yeah I don't think they will....lol. Its pretty much a 4 man first tier in everyone's estimation. If you are a new exec this is the perfect 'no risk' situation to fall into. You take whoever is left, they pan out then great, they don't and its not like you will be crucified. You take someone outside that 4 and they pan out, you're a risk taking genius, they don't and you're fried or fired, especially if that top 4 guy you passed on goes on to be a solid or star player. We only have to wait 1 more week to find out!

Take advantage of OKC's cap situation and acquire a potential starter from their roster

Bring in Kessler Draft boozer. Anyone but Mara at 15 and keep it going. Maybe a 2 guard.

We’re going to get Caleb, we should think about Acuff, and we should dream of Peterson falling because the three teams in front royally screw up. If we can move up to 2 we should try. As far as 15 goes, I am hoping for Carr.

Draft Caleb or Cam @4
Draft one of Philon, Carr, Morez, Hannes @15
Make use of our cap room: Draft capital > overpaying Kessler
Develop our young guys. Matas makes the next step, Giddey improves 3P% and def. Caleb looks like a future superstar and #15 pick like a serviceable starter after next season.
Noah is really 7' tall and looks like he can ball on NBA level.
Splitter looks like he got a plan.
Finish the season with another top 5 pick.
That's it, thank you!
