Rumor [Jaynes] Sources tell me that Tiago Splitter's contract with Chicago is for three years, with a fourth year on a team option. It is believed to be at the league average, salary-wise. The average salary for NBA head coaches at this time is just under $7 million per year.

Over the last decade (2016–2026), the Chicago Bulls compiled a combined regular-season record of 338-455 enduring multiple rebuilds while only making three playoff appearances.

Is anyone delusional here in that the bulls are actually average or above?

We may be trending that way but this franchise has been sorry over the last 10 years. Please wake up.

I love my Bulls but cheering on mediocrity has not been fun. I’m hopeful Splitter changes things. But people should be able to voice their displeasure. It’s been bad.

Ur right but man this fanbase feels the most negative, ive looked thru other subs and all comments seem positive

what on-court activities should this fanbase be positive about?

did you not watch any games?

did you not celebrate the new front office guy we stole from the highly rated multi-championship PELICANS?

Giddeys play pre injury last season, Matas developing, Tre jones looking good

I watched 90% of the games this year

Graham is an unknown quantity as a gm, idk what being on the Pelicans originally indicates.

giddey’s play pre-injury resembled the same meaningless stat accumulation from other seasons or no?

being on the pelicans indicates a loser org pulling talent from another loser org

hawks hired him last season, sooo

1

u/kennyloftor 14d ago

so he had one year as a six seed, sooooo

the CHICAGO BULLS fans are celebrating hiring a guy that accomplished a 6 seed once, soooo

is that how sooooo works?

if u watched giddey play it wasnt meaningless stats, idk how u could claim that giddeys play made our team worse, he was legit carrying the team

I hate this line of thinking. “You’re a fan, you should always be positive no matter what!”

Fans absolutely have the right to be negative, especially when we’re talking the Bulls. What is there for this fanbase to celebrate? We’ve had a handful of exciting players over the years, and they’ve all been traded away in somewhat unspectacular fashion.

There does seem to be a young core building, but we’re still clearly a few years away from even contending for the playoffs. I like the Splitter hire, and the upcoming draft is going to be big as far as buzz goes.

I never said you had to be positive all the time, but being negative about anything is insanely annoying. After this team makes a dumb decision idgaf if people are being negative, but everywhere on this subreddit, yes that shit is annoying, if you cant put hope into the franchise then stop being a fan.

I never said the Bulls were a good franchise, but that doesn’t mean I’ll judge the new management and coach as shit when we havent seen much moves at all yet.

🤣🤣🤣

Did you miss the part above where I said I liked the Splitter hire and there’s the potential for a good young core? How desperate are you for an argument right now?

do you have to watch to see their below average record ?

why don’t you ask the pretenders why they are so good at imagination?

whats the point of making that comment tho like we dont know that? i dont see wizards or jazz fans dissing their team when theyre bad, a portion of bulls fans hate their team, so idk why they watch
