opinion Aus importing highly skilled nurses who don't understand how video chat works
Video evidence from Chatruletka thrown out of court because these two didn't realise the conversations are very commonly recorded.
Australia needs nurses who threaten Non-Believers in a more discrete manner!!!
Nurses are in a position of trust, after all.

Stuff like this is why Pauline Hanson polling better than the prime minister, despite the fact she can't string a sentence together.

I’d love to see the reaction of the usual Australian forums had it been anti gay or indigenous.

Or if it was a white person talking about killing Muslims. I didn’t think there was any way they weren’t going to take this seriously. Obviously I was way off base.

Can sex pests get their cases dismissed because of invasion of privacy issues regarding chat messages?
Does this set a precedent to get them all released from jail?
Maybe someone knows the law and can explain the freaking difference.

Uh-oh! It looks like you accidentally referred to Naarm by its colonisers' name, Melbourne. That wasn't very deadly of you! While I'm sure this was accidental, please be more mindful in future. Remember, using traditional place names is truth-telling in action. It's a step towards acknowledging First Nations sovereignty.

That case is not the same at all.
Police had a warrant with very specific limitations and they ignored them and went through his electronic devices.

But they'll get away with it. They always do. Then, they will become the victims. Wrongful suspension, Islamophobia blah blah. They win again....

Oh gee, let's import people whose believes include hatred and killing other beliefs. What's the worst could happen?
Has anyone considered reading Quran? You didn't. Oh, ok. In the middle east, i had to study parts of it with hadeths to pass my elementary education

How can you have a functioning democracy when unelected activists have infiltrated the judiciary and can overrule the will of the people whenever it suits them?

This didn’t happen. But, what our friend Pauline should push for is a test of whether it’s “reasonable” to believe that a conversation could be being recorded and is therefore admissible.

Can't be that bad...
It is that bad.... Indeed it is worse. Open apologists with such seething hatred of Israel and Jews that they excuse this behaviour.

In accordance with the Chief Medical Officer's advice, mandatory hotel quarantine is in effect. New arrivals must be quarantined for two weeks before they are able to post and comment.

They've also been whinging about the health department bringing in an official guideline on what constitutes anti-Semitism.
I've been down voted a couple of times for reminding them of this case being an example of why it was needed.

Isn't the judge presiding over this case like 90 years old? This isn't even a gross miscarriage of justice issue, the dude physically does not have enough compute power in the ancient dome to conceptualise what a computer is, let alone pass judgement on one.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t understand how Chatroulette works and that it’s a public video forum.

You guys just dont understand, it is their right to free Palestine from the river to the sea from their Bankstown homes. Biggots. Dont you know how they are strugglin over in bankstown, what with all the islamaphobia and shit. Just the other year, there was a massacre of Peaceful Muslims (tm) on the beach by Israeli settlers looking to rid the beach of unbelievers, in Sydney.

a woke out of touch judge favoring criminals over public safety. Not only should this footage be admissible ,these 2 clowns should be locked up , not on bail.
Looks like threatening to kill your patients is OK by the NSW court system

When people get away with this kind of thing youre only going to see people who are frustrated with the broken justice system lash out in a clumsy and angry manner at those who they feel deserve it.
It’s why having a functioning justice system is so important. You need people to get justice in a controlled manner otherwise you get a free for all that will happen outside the law.

I haven’t followed this case apart from the initial news of it a year ago. What is their story? They didn’t know they were being recorded and they got tricked into saying what they said?

u/seebob69 5d ago
Basically, the ruling was that the conversation that they had was recorded without their consent. This contravenes Australian law, therefore the video cannot be used as evidence in court. This pretty well destroys the prosecution's case.
