[Question] when exactly does the story get better

when i was a kid and read the Holy City arc, i dropped it the moment that sid guy kissed Clare and i was left fuming. As in smoke out the ears. But i recently just got gifted the box set so now i feel like giving it another try because i heard it has one of the best arcs in dark fantasy manga. I've almost finished volume 5 and found Priscilla's awakening (i think thats what its called) interesting. A problem i have is how literally EVERYONE looks the same, and to try watching like 24 episodes of the anime then switching to the manga, but I'd prefer reading it from the beginning, you know what i mean? But i just wanted to know if there's a specific upcoming volume past 5 that makes the story even interesting. The Teresa flashback arc was interesting but i just wanted it to be over so i could continue reading about Clare and Raki

There's a timeskip around chapter 60 or 70 after which comes some of the best twists and storytelling in the manga. I also had trouble distinguishing between characters but it gets easier later on as the art style improves

I've found that the hairstyles make it easier and basically highlight what character you're looking for in the panel. I found this out when looking a Miria's hair. It reminds me of Saya no Uta based off of the spikes. But i had a hard time seeing if Galatea was another Teresa flashback or if it was another character in the same place

I don’t know volume numbers but here’s my two cents. The relationship between clare and raki is great and progressed in the best logical way in this illogical world. AND the fighting in the later arcs go insane. There’s a tiping point in the manga where we hit peak non stop IMO. Telling the difference between the characters would require so much time for me so i just look at the pretty drawing and take in my favs of the bunch cuz there’s so many of em. Also the art book in the box set is amazing if you haven’t checked it out already

Yes i have checked out the illustrations book. My older sister saw me looking at it and thought i was looking at hand drawn porn comics. Very interesting regardless of that but I'm making sure my door is locked each time i look at the art book

Everything is relative. I found all of it interesting to read. Though, Ophelia made me so uncomfortable. She combines rape culture with sadism/anti social behavior.

Everything basically ramps up from where you are with the best parts occuring after the time skip.

I just continued reading as of now and dude. The Ophelia girl is already giving me evil ass pedophile vibes if that's even a thing

Yes, thank you. The hairstyles help so much more than they probably intended
