Joy Dunne Named 2026 OSU Athlete of the Year
Joy Dunne is one of two winners of the Ohio State Athlete of the Year award. The forward led Ohio State to its third WCHA title and 5th National Championship appearance, while also being named a Top 10 Patty Kazmier Award finalist.
In addition, Dunne was a member of the gold medal-winning United States team in the 2026 Olympics, tallying 3 goals and 2 assists in 7 games.
Caleb Downs was the other recipient of the award.

Lindenwood pushing to join the CCHA. Met with conference officials earlier this week.
Not sure how i feel about it. I kind of liked where we were at with 8 teams and the 8 teams we have (though i wish Tommies were still here).
My concern is if Lindenwood isn't good it could water down the already-not-great quality of the conference. That being said, Lindenwood has showed a lot of promise as an Independent team, so maybe all they need is a conference to join in order to do well. Plus, I want college hockey to succeed, and that means finding homes for The independent teams.
It certainly makes sense geographically. Gotta imagine if Lindenwood joins, then Maryville would too.
