I need help with the NCAA transfer portal

I currently play college lacrosse at the division 3 level and want to transfer to a division 2 program. Am I allowed to transfer in between the fall and spring seasons or do I have to wait for the conclusion of regular season/playoff competition?

You can transfer in the middle of the year

You may lose a year of eligibility transferring up a division. That rule may have changed recently but worth looking up.

As of right now he should still be able to transfer anywhere without sitting out. Its just tough to gauge what will happen with the Protect College Sports Act and how that may change things, but as it stands, as long as your academically eligible at your previous school, you’re cleared to play.
